Default Clear Repeaters

Hey all,

Just wondering for those who have clear side repeaters, where did you buy them from and how much were they? I'm in melbourne (just in case you sourced from local dealer :] )

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Try www.european-parts.net, if not then go on eBay and type in Fiesta mk6. There should be some there, the alternative is by ordering some from your dealer, but they cost alot (I got quoted 27 each side).

Just a word of warning - try and get genuine Ford if you can.

I got these ones off ebay because I preffered the look:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-FIESTA-MK...QQcmdZViewItem

But you'll find many of these cheaper brands have quality problems with moisture. Took me many swear-filled hours with a hair dryer, air conditioning and clear silicone to rectify the problem and it's still not 100% water proof.

So, if it's feasible; it really does pay to go genuine.

But on the bright side, now I can change my indicators in 3 minutes flat!

Ardei, Solution to your problem. Use VW Golf Mk4 Repeaters. They are IDENTICAL to those ebay ones, But have a different globe holder so I had to tape them up with electrical and plumbers tape. NEVER ever had a problem.

Question regarding the repeaters, how do I take off my mudguards to put them on?

I changed mine outside the dealer in 5 minutes with a rag over a screwdriver. You just carefully pop them out from one end.

if you buy the ones from Europeanparts......they wont fit properly. they will stay put, but will not sit flush against the car and the indicators will fog up.

Hmm thats a bit strange. I got mine from Europeanparts about 1 year ago, and i am pretty sure it had a silicone ring around it, to prevent condensation in side. If it didnt i havent had this problem. :eclipsee_
