Post Ford Kuga Vignale

"Ford’s European arm has confirmed a premium Kuga Vignale variant based on the concept car that appeared at the Geneva motor show earlier this year.

While not confirmed for Australia, the new Ford Kuga Vignale is scheduled to go on sale in Europe later this year, joining the Mondeo Vignale, Edge Vignale and S-Max Vignale in Ford’s luxury sub-brand range.

The Vignale-badged SUV will be offered with a choice of four engines – two Ecoboost petrols and two turbo diesels – with the option of two- and all-wheel drive, manual or automatic transmissions, and comes with an array of premium appointments for the exterior and interior to distinguish it from lesser Kuga models.

Outside, the premium Kuga variant wears a new grille design, with body-coloured bumpers and trims, and features dark gloss-effect finishes for the front- and rear-skid plates, along with the door appliques and tailgate trim.

The upscale touches continue inside the cabin, which includes seats and door trims upholstered in unique hexagonal-quilted Windsor leather with tuxedo-style stitching, along with a leather instrument panel. This premium trim is offered in Ford’s signature Cashmere colour.

All Ford Vignale variants come fitted with the company’s Sync 3 infotainment system as standard.

Every Kuga Vignale will be hand-finished at the Vignale Centre, which is located at Ford’s Valencia manufacturing facility in Spain.

Ford says that the latest laser and camera technology supports the trained eye of its craftspeople in closely examining every aspect of a Vignale vehicles from body and panel alignment to the paint finish.

According to the car maker, over 80 per cent of the 33,000 Kugas sold in the UK last year were top-spec Titanium models, indicating the high demand for luxury variants.

Ford’s premium sub-brand brand claims to offer a unique and upscale customer experience, which includes access to Vignale lounges, travel, event and lifestyle services, along with access the Vignale Service smartphone app – delivering customers with a direct link to online lifestyle content from the Vignale magazine, in addition to driving tips, a dealership locator and GPS-enabled services that include a fuel station locator and a one-touch connection with emergency services.

As with the other Vignale models, this new Kuga variant is not expected to come to Australia."
