The standard radio in my mothers 2001 Laser is playing up, in that it appears that when she turns it on, the volume is totally unpredictable. Not only does she try to turn the volume down - it may go up... so it appears there is worn out component somewhere.
My questions are two-fold. 1) I have searched EBay and other sites for possible replacement radios, none are listed. are there any other sites that may be useful. 2) It has a Ford 6xCD stacker attached via the AUX button. If we are unable to get a replacement Ford Radio, what brand(s) support this connection. I presume that the CD stackers are OEM Pioneers, so would a Pioneer Radio connect ok ? Greatly appreciate any assistance or advice. Rgds Phill D. |

I have called Ford about this before... who advised me the CD stacker cannot be connected to any after market unit.
try a Mazda dealer for a brand-new radio, or maybe a wrecker might have one.... Good Luck!! |
