if you follow the pacific highway to the end... then follow signs that say northern suburbs or sunshine coast
then you will be on lutwyche/gympie road which goes straight past chermside etc and leads straight to aspley maccas (corner of gayford st and albany creek road and gympie road) directly opposite pick and pay hypermarket

Its just a thought but, i will be going on this cruise and i am already thinking about staying at a local cabin/caravan park brissy way for the night.
Just to enjoy it a bit better and to relax, As was a fair whack of a drive that the brissy boys did today just for a cruise. Make it easier for the outer towner's Regards, Woody

bah thats nothin mate
was a sunday drive on a saturday for me haha!! we got home at 9pm with a stop over at BP coomera for a coffee and burger and the southern guys can take the warrego highway or what ever its called by going SOUTH from somerset via esk etc ..all inland run so no traffic take a look on google maps if your unsure how long the run will take theres plenty of little B&Bs and caravan parks etc out somerset dam/wivenhoe dam way so thats no problem if you did decide to do the stop over thing

Just a thought, any chance of doing the same run we did with AFCQ, as the other way has aloott of lights, and you miss out Neebo?
Im in either way, just trying to make it easy for everyone to keep together. Either that, or southsiders do that one, northsiders do your one, and we meet at Mt. Glorious and go to Somerset together, as its still a fair whack of a drive together regardless.

Sounds good any possibilty of a change of date though 24th is daughters 10th birthday. Don't think she would be over the moon about cruising for her birthday.

It's a killer drive. Wouldn't be a bad idea for a cruise. I'm easy though.

Yeah, I vote that we all wait for each other after traffic lights and know where we are going BEFORE we leave!! haha
PS I was wondering where you got to on the M1 last night, one minute you were next to me, the next you weren't!

Up and over Mt Glorious with it's tight winding roads is truly a drivers delight, then dropping into the Brisbane valley with sweeping bends and open roads makes for an excellent drive. If you have nothing to do on this day, I can highly recommend it. Enjoy the drive, I have on numerous occasions, and the pleasure never fades.

Just thought I'd bump this back up the top. Mt glorius is a brilliant drive and we could stop up in one of the veiw points up the top for piccy's of all the AU's together.
