Hi Guys,

I am looking for info on changing pads and rotors to stop shuddering on the BF XR6 - I am looking at Le Mossi drilled and slotted Rotors for front and rear any advice.

I also have an issue with both front electric windows - driver door is making a clicking sound but window won't go up or down front passenger window did the same and now the window has fallen down into the door - any advice how I can fix this issue.

Any advice would be much appreciated - going away for a few weeks for work and would like the car running properly for the wife and kids.

Thanks
Olly

how many km's has the car done what year build is it.Does the car still surge when not using cruise control if it still occurs i would look for a coil pack breaking down at certain rpm
replacing the brake light switch will not fix this problem.I would ask your dealer to take it for a drive on the freeway with their ids computer they have.they should also have spare coils for testing to determine which coil is failing under load

Gidday!!!

ITZ OLD is my American 1982 Fox Mustang Hatch, 3.3 I6 with C3 gearbox (std fitment like they had on Cortina 4's), 2.73:1 gears, TRX's, A/C, PS and rear window wiper, tilt wheel. Its been around the block a bit, ex California spec, but with fold back Tbird rear vision mirrors and full 100 km/h chimes. You see, after birth in Michigan, it spent its first 7 years in Japan, and got exported to, gasp, New Zealand! Its only got about 61000 clicks on the clock. Unlike a lot of British market Foxes, its still a Left Hooker. This south pacific pom really likes it, its so smooth and runs quiet as. I'm used to hard charging cross flows and this little six banger is docile as.

I use it for measuring road roughness and auditing roads (I'm a self employed civil technician).

Its 87 hp at 3800 rpm from its 1965 XP Falcon style 200 six won't get me into any trouble, but its planned Aussie FAZER 6 replacement engine will.

hi all, new to the forum,
and have a problem i need help with.
i have just finished building a front wheel drive motorkhana special
using a ford laser engine and drive. all goes well except when i
go in reverse, the engine shakes violently unless i engage the clutch
very slowly. direction forwards is ok, and i have used all the same
mount points as in the original laser. the only thing i can add is on the
original gearbox mount, one mount pivioted off a long bar to almost
half way down the car, where i have shortend this to about 150mm long.
don't know what to do next. desperate

Hi everyone.
I recently just purchased a 2001 XR8 ute and thought I'd join up.
It's pretty stock apart from tinted windows and I don't plan on doing much other than maybe doing a stereo upgrade and MAYBE an exhaust. Just a work car for me at the end of the day while I'm establishing my business so don't want to go to overboard with things

Cheers

Hi to all members,

I have been looking at Ford sites for some time and, this in my opinion is the greatest.

I have been a Ford fan since my early driving days, havin many types of falcons and they have all been great reliable, strong cars.
Too old for racing fords, but i have a 2004, Futura, the roof lining is starting to come away in some parts, any advice on fixing this.

I wish to say well done, to all that make this such a great site, keep up the great work team.

Thanks to All,

Sweens

Sweens
Not quite sure when Ford transitioned from material stretched over stays to a compressed board with a covering so the fix will depend on which you have.

I'd think you are probably heading in the right direction looking at the rear gearbox mount as being the source of the issue. Might be worth adding a second stay further down (even just tack weld one in) to see if that minimises it.

It is the same one with minor changes. Probably best to ask your questions in the Territory area as I'm sure you'll get more replies there.

Cheers

Hey guys! My name is scooter, I love ya site, its full of helpful informative and friendly people and home to some really nice rides!!!! I've drive a 74 xb coupe, its my daily driver, original v8, new steering and brakes, so steers and stops like new, the engine can always have more horsepower but its sufficient for now. Stereo is a special order 8 cylinder symphony orchestra, my eight year old daughter doesn't think that's funny lol. Anyway, thanks for having me, looking forward to mingling, computers are not my forte, so sorry if I miss anything or anyone

Cool Re: Welcome to New Members - Post here to say gday!

Hey all, only new on here but like what I've seen so far!

I have a question for you's regarding my AU Falcon.

As seen in the pic my rear bumper is pretty rooted! Would I be best off trying to find another red one or should I get a white one and get it sprayed? I want to sell the car as well so I pretty much need to get this fixed so people won't run for the hills! I live in Melbourne btw.. any suggestions would be great, keep goin ford peeps!

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

I just joined in yesterday and its great to see such a big crowd in the Forum. Thanks to the guys who started this up.

We have a BA Ford Falcon and we found out that the License plate lights have failed and not sure how to get them replaced ourselves rather than going to the mechanic if we can help it.

Can anyone tell me how to get the Number Plate lights replaced. Those older cars you can replace just the globes but nowadays this high tech lights are a bit more expensive and more difficult to change.

Thank you.
Karshin

Hi all,

New to Fords and new to this forum.

Just bought a AU Falcon Ute 4942cc at a bargain basement price on the Trading Post. It desperately needs a respray (looks like someone tried using a truckload of spray cans). Looking to lower her, fit 20" rims, XR50 Tickford rear bumper, Tickford TS50 front bumper (unless a face transplant takes place during the respray phase, i.e. bolt on a BA/Typhoon front - I know, I know, leave it alone... even though I like this car as-is in black with the AU front: it is a project car)

Cheers
