I walk to a coffee shop every morning, getting there about 6am, it is in a pure residential strip, no other shops.

Why is it nearly 100% of tradies in twin-cab diesel utes get out leaving their things running clattering noisily, while virtually none of the car people (including tradies in cars) do that?

The things sound like shaking a big bag of marbles. Just what you want in the nice, crisp, quiet morning air.

Why is it some insomniacs have to visit coffee shops at ungodly hours when we have to work and they have all day for their coffees.

…that Ferrari have caved in to produce an SUV? They’ve lost grip of the desire to be considered a sports car maker, not a luxury brand.

The only positive is they skipped the “diesels are where it’s at” phase of global car design thinking.

I can't understand why they need to pursue an SUV. Maserati or Aston Marting, well they need volume so I can excuse them for making SUV's. Ferrari? It's not like they have any trouble selling every single car they make.

These figures are slightly old, (2018) but Ferrari makes an average profit of $80k per car , compared to Porsche, $17k and BMW, Audi and Mercedes each make about $10,500 average per car, according to Motor Authority.

So it makes even less sense why, expect of course , if all that matters is money.

That people go into business, advertise and even come out and quote ( but not always) discuss what needs doing
and then off they go telling you that you will have the quote tomorrow
or the day after at the latest, then you HEAR NOTHING!

You ring and they are not available at the moment and they will ring you back as soon as they can, still you HEAR NOTHING!

3 times this has happened in the last 2 weeks, since we have retired I decided to renovate and update what needs replacing
while looking at the best way to control future cost increases as possible.

So tiler, cabinet makers, carpet layers, painters, sparkies and plumbers all quoted and did the work and were all paid.

But need a quote to upgrade your solar system and install batteries and you might as well stick ya bum up in the air and whistle dixie.

I didn't want to deal with "salesman" I'd rather deal with a sparkie who hopefully is a bit more honest but by the looks of it I'll end up going with a "solar specialist"
who will try and tell me that only his stuff will work and everybody else is a liar and don't know what they are talking about unlike himself.

So why is it no-one will be honest enough to tell me that (a) they are too busy (b) they don't want the job (c) they just don't care?

Whinge over!

Stay safe

You will have to deal with a solar salesperson, sparkies are in short supply and flat-out doing work unless you are talking a big project with plenty of $$$, then you still pushing.

…Two people (I’m avoiding identification of gender ) can have a discussion about how to work around having a dead electric jug when there is an open Kmart 2km away, and a car to hand?

$15, done, and they can chew the fat on something more sensible… It’s like calling a meeting for every minor detail rather than relying on people to use initiative.

Appreciate the plastic ramifications.. However, a little more ingenuity could have gone into the open-ended cardboard afterthoughts?
