I regret us buying our AU2 Futura. Its a great car as far as boring family sedans go, however we never intended on keeping it forever but will have to keep it far longer than we wanted to due to the resale value vs finance amount.

A smarter car would have been an EL XR8, but then we would have been E-mutants...

I sold this just recently. About 170bhp and only weighs about 900kg wet.

And it handles like a go kart.....

Sigh, regret it already.

I should of kept my 1st car, it was a HK Holden, 161 and 3 on the tree
It cost me lots in oil, the rear main seal leaked more than the Burnley tunnel

If i still had that today, and not buy, sell and waste money on all the cars i have owned and still owned over the years, i would be rich$$$$$$$$$$

Damn money pits :togo:

Regret, my father selling his car 2 weeks b4 I got a decent job(in 94)after I told him to wait!
She was a 1 owner 62 AP5 Val mint, original paint(just starting to rust), original int, 250000 miles on the clock... and still not had the rocker cover lifted on the ol'slant6!
She was a weapon, Valorie the staff car the mates called it!
Man I had plans for that car... would still have it now.

Regret buying, the last 2 cars the foci and the BAV8ute not because of the cars just the financial side of it... the amount I've wasted on these cars would have had Valorie on the cover of SM!
But thems the brakes :(

Cars i wish i never sold,

1988 EA SPAC,
It was my first car, sure it was a 3spd cfi, but i loved it, always said i would never sell it... sold it mid 2004 to buy my ED, the new owner is actually selling it right now so im trying to scrape together the funds to get it back!

1994 ED WAGON,
shoulda just fixed the problems and kept it- had the most fun in that car! (i have an EB wagon to get over selling this car now)

1989 EA GHIA
it was my project car, Bought it so i could get over selling my first car... it just made me realise juist how much i missed the thing, i sold it so i had mod money for my AU

1999 AU XR6 mock up,
didnt even want to sell this car... i was just flicking thru the trading post one day, noticed a cheap Manual VX and thought i would have a look at it, as i was leaving the dealership, the salesman grabbed me and sucked me into the whirpool and i got spat out with the VX

1982 XE SPAC,
if i had the space for it i would have kept it!

CARS I WISH I NEVER BOUGHT

2001 VX commodore spac
i only have 1 word for this car... POS! (got a new engine a week after i bought it and its still ******)

CARS I WILL (HOPEFULLY) NEVER SELL

1991 EB SPAC WAGON,
Big plans for this beast!!

1988 EA SPAC,
If i manage to buy it back... It has sentimantal value

Wish i never sold:

1989 NA Fairlane "Limited Edition" (that what the sticker said :hihi: )

Family car for many many years. I got it off my parents when i got my licence and loved it to bits (literally..)

In the end we though it was about to die.. the drive train was murdered and was literally falling to bits from 140db thumping away at it.. We sold it to buy my AU fairmont now.

The only thing is, lately we have seen the old girl driving around not missing a beat (apart from the neglect from the current owner.. it hasnt seen polish since i sold it..) .. but it turns out the E-series stuff didnt want to die lol.. It just keep going. I put 60,000kms in 6 month all city driving. Loved it hehe.

Here are a few piccies of it.

Sigh.. cheers, Matt.

It was a dog, come to think of it, it was a Rabies Infected Dog.

I DID NOT Buy It !!!

It was a hand me down first car...

Never got the chance to sell it, it fell apart in the driveway...

It used more oil than fuel..

But I miss it....

I miss the wet feet in winter.

I miss the foot and handbrake stops required when going down hill.

I miss the gear changes without a clutch.

I miss having to put water in it every morning.

And most of all I miss the look on everyones face when I cut the roof off with the old man's angle grinder...
