Last year I got a tuner to Dyno test my standard FG XR6T on his Dyno with a specific request to tie it down and treat it exactly the same as he treats these cars when he does a baseline power test immediately before tuning them. I also asked him to see if the boost and AFR was the same as the other standard cars. The result was just 7 kW more than the stock car he had tuned the week before (quite possibly mainly accounted for by my new tyres reducing slip and some weight in the boot). Also the boost and the AFR was the same as the other cars. However importantly, the boost was 1.5 - 1.7 pounds lower than in two previous Dyno tests that my car had, and the power reaching the wheels was lower. So the overboost feature obviously didn't work in this case, and clearly (in my view), this tuner hasn't been getting true baseline figures on these cars prior to tuning them. I believe that my cars engine and transmission was cool and he wasn't aggressive enough. I wonder how many other tuners make the same mistake? Last edited by 2242100; 17-08-2014 at 07:15 PM. |

Read what I said.....I said "not much more then 300... With some getting less then 300". Average seems to be as low as 315ish possibly a bit more.
As for the guys looking for more -300rwkw GTS.....you allready said there were NONE....I showed you one......in less then minute. And that's all the time I'm willing to give your useless argumentative rubbish when you know how fickle dynos are.......and that most people wouldn't even blink twice if told there are GTS with under 300 as most only dyno just over anyway. Plus like I SAID I'm on an iPad n can't post links. Stop trolling. |

I saw a beauty the other day, red SS with Chev badges and the 307 clubsport numbers. Sure it might be modded to 307 but still, Chev badge fail.

What's the payload difference between a pursuit/gs/f6 ute and a maloo?

Not for long periods of time. The sporty Falcon utes are more limited by the tyres then the suspension. Commo ute is not a work ute IMO.
