Just a little heads up Guys!

This programme is a Trial for Ford, thats why its only available for the Southern Region, and it is proving VERY successful! For those of you who are fortunate enough to take advantage of this offer but are still deliberating, DONT!
We are already trying to source G6E turbos from interstate to fill orders! XR6 Turbo utes are pretty much sold out, other models are also getting critically short!
Ford may or may not change the Vehicle eligilibity criteria in the Future, who knows? But id hate to see people leave things to the last minute, miss out and then bagg Ford/Dealers for not being able to supply!

Just another bit of info..... for those who are classed as a small business, sole trader etc!! you might want to check this out!
http://www.treasurer.gov.au/DisplayD...ear=&DocType=0

With A 50% deduction, GST input credit, Record Low interest rates, Friends of Ford Programme i've never seen a better time in the last 20 years to buy a car!

Cheers
Andrew!

From what I'm hearing, a couple of dealers (two that I know of) are not willing to offer the so-called discounted price. I won't name these dealers, but I know that they are firm that won't move on the deal? This has happened to two people in question - both have approached these two dealers and have got the same result ie won't come down to the "special" price....

Ah isn't that because its handled internally? Employee would just hand in their "lead".

If I was a dealer id be telling people to get nicked aswell, problem now is that the pricing is out which makes it easier for other consumers to know what price range they can play with.

From what I know, the "friends" have gone to the dealer and put their order in, but already know their base price. And when queried, the salesperson wouldn't drop down to the "suggested rrp". These two people then went back to the "employee" and its gone internal now?

Have these friends been provided with the Purchase Authority form signed by Ford HR?

If not, the employee needs to provide them with it, then the Dealer has no choice but to co-operate.

Cllause 10 of the T&Cs state:
10. Vehicles ordered by eligible Ford Contractors or Approved Purchasers through Authorised Ford Dealerships under the
provisions of the Ford Friends Program are allocated a month in which they will be produced. Any delay between placing an
order and its allocated month of production will vary according to the demand for that particular model.

This infers that the vehicles don't have to be in stock, or even under production yet. Is the dealer able to advise if an ordered vehicle not in stock will be manufactured prior to June 30?

The offer is for models that are already built, with the exception of SY11 Terry's! Which at this stage of the month a dealer cannot change the Spec's!

· Eligible vehicles:
· All 2007 or 2008 plate vehicles
· 2009 plate SY Territory RUNOUT, excluding SR value packs!
· 2009 plate FG Falcon Sedan / Ute (up to & including April build)

I guess dealers nor Ford would agree but $4k off a near year old Focus doesn't seem like a lot but I guess its the same percentage or more as the others.

Doesn't affect trades, although you'll only get a wholesale price on the trade itself - changeover will still reflect the hefty discount.

Think changeover, not trade.

Yep, they did. But I heard over the weekend, that both people now have the deals, and have bought - which is great! Two more sales!

Will be interesting to see the next few months sales. People are finding it hard to even find a turbo under the scheme and as for a SY Territory, forget about it.
