Equally, didn't mean to bash on you......we're still five months away from RR going on sale,
a lot can happen in between but early signs are very positive. and I personally would struggle to justify the amounts buyers spend on dual cabs.. Last edited by jpd80; 14-04-2018 at 12:20 AM. |

NZ prices here, it's a $23k disguise, I recently picked up the new Navara as I couldn't justify the $12k difference for an equivalent Ranger. Would I spend an extra $23k for a different grill, some badges and an upgraded interior, no way. The Navara with the twin turbo is a brilliant piece of equipment on and off road, have had it loaded to it's limit and driven it 6 hours on straights, winding mountain roads, corrugated gravel roads and to reach our destination completely off road, not once did I lose confidence in it's handling or performance. The Mercedes version will solely be a status symbol, at least the Ranger is offering more than just a badge and sticker pack for the price difference.

I'm sure you would tell the coffee bean difference at MB service waiting room than nissans lol......
I agree mate on the navara MB X difference being OTT but you may find out sooner or later the $12k diff for a Ranger was worth handing it over There's many reasons why rego numbers of Hilux/Ranger dwarf NP300's and previous D40's. Extend your WTY when you can.

Any indications on our allocation of stock? Being developed here, you'd like to think we'd get some sort of priority of supply, but is that wishful thinking?

Depends on your options, there are always a few selections in stock, request a certain colour or tick a option box and you could have to wait.

I guess new cars have less factory added options these days so people are probably more happy to take a demo or a new one sitting around in a holding yard somewhere. |

based on buyer preferences and popular models and trim.. Puppy love usually takes over when buyers are told that there's a car in stock that's close to or exactly what they want ...with a discount.. Most buyers are not prepared to wait four months for a personal order when a good alternative is available with a discount and if the dealer doesn't play ball, they go down the road to another brand.
