Begin rant...

Wasn't Skaife actually on the board of TEGA at one stage there? :P Of course they were allowed to race at clipsal 500, a big team racing means more fans which means more money. Wouldn't surprise me if Mike Rann contacted TEGA himself and slipped them a few bucks to make sure they raced. ;-) According to the V8 Supercars website the decision won't be made until just before the Perth race next week. I think HSV and HRT should get the boot after the BS they pulled last year in the enduros. From what I recall they said they were able to race together due to a loophole in both teams coming under the umbrella of Tom Walkinshaw Racing... errrkay then. It was just cheating IMHO, and this is the soft response from TEGA to try and make it look as if they're on top of things. :P

End rant...

And I thought this was going to be a thread about Hormone Replacement Therapy, seeing as we are on a Ford Forum.

This totally sucks. Very one knows that HRT and HSV/Toll is one four car team and they all share data and setup. Yet TEGA go on about paper work. if two Ford teams did the same thing. they would be banned and pionts taken off them.

Once again anything for HRT. Not happy.

TEGA need to act like the WRC did about a decade ago - when the factory Toyota team, then running the Celica, were busted running larger inlet restrictors than allowed and got booted out for a whole year. This is why rally cars run around 300HP now, because the inlet restrictors cap the oxygen flow going in.

LOL, I was in the Holden dealer yesterday buying bits for my wife's Pulsar and I saw the babywear section, cringe.

Yeh but if they thought by swapping team members between the two for a 'gain'/ make their own rules it didnt work. Ford won bathurst Hrt didnt finish Skaife couldnt make it to turn 2 : tool racing came close but didnt and we got the Peter Brock trophy. So that would of really stirred them up :eclipsee_

Skaife is on the board of TEGA????? That's a disgrace.

Name me ONE decision that the entrance group could possibly make where Skaife would not be conflicted to the point of having to excuse himself from deliberations.

Shocking. This is 19th century corporate governance. I dont see how he could possibly excercise his fiducary duties to TEGA if he is so materially affected by their decisions.

no offence mate but i dont see hrt ever copping anything for what they have/are doing. this reminds me of the front splitter saga back in the ef/el days when cams nearly kicked out the ford teams if they didnt shorten it or something, if im wrong someone correct me

Hmmmm there still maybe something in this.....it made 'The Rumour File' this morning than an announcement will be made today and that it will be against big nose....

I loved Craig Gores comments "I could prove I own the team this afternoon"

You gotta ask yourself why it is taking so long....and the answer is that there is something to hide. If there wasn't it would have been last months news, not still current.

What the saying about rules? You only are breaking the rules if you get caught.

Funny thing is no-one expects them to be banned or anything as a result of this.

Gotta feel a bit sorry for Todd Kelly, he just goes about his business in a professional manner (unlike his little brother) and this comes along... might be seeing another red driver come over to the blue oval soon... :P

*If* this roumour is true then Walkinshaw might be able to legitimately buy it out and apply for a legit license.
I think you can own two teams so teh kelly's might be a go.

Yay, so its all a non event till June 1st. Basically Tega have caught them out, said "who's a naughty boy?" and told them they have to create a bunch more paper work by June 1st.

Effectively, its done NOTHING!

This is really very unprofessional.

If you don't have a driver's license or don't have qualifications to practice in a profession, can you drive a car or do the job until the paper work comes though ?

No you are punished if you break rules - why can't this apply in this case ?

That is an old artcial, this is talking about when Holden purchased HRT when TWR had problems several years ago.

and here it is: TEGA and V8SC have revealed that everybody in the motor sport fraternity knew of the shonky deal. We gave Holden up to 3 months to find the reciept. We were **** scared to do anything about this. M Skaife has a license to enter cars, Wp owns the cars, GMH owns the name. So we are happy.

P.s Will some one turn on the landing lights for the pink pigs.
