The behaviour of these people shows that they quote simply don't get it.

While It the results of the investigation (as far as I am aware) have not been released, this does provide some suggestion that the killed driver could have had the same sort of attitude.

The solution comes down to...how do you change this type of attitude. If the death of 3 'mates' in a road accident doesn't do it... what will ??

Maybe those doing burnouts need to spend some time with the families of the deceased...

Due to whatever reason tonight there is about 10 patrol cars patrolling the road the accident happened on and roads around the accident scene. They seem to be all marked cars, but I did not see any undercover cars. I think this may be to much as there was 7 marked cars on the road in a area of approx 200 meters.

But good to see that something is being done about this and making sure no one else gets hurt in that area.

I think part of the problem is that we keep using the old "They are just kids", "They are letting of steam " and so on.. They posses a license and thus shoul at least be able to see right from wrong.. yes maybe we are all proe to the odd bout of stupidity, BUT if these young adults cannot see the lunacy in doing this at the scene where others dies for similar stupidiy..i doubt they will get it, they will continue there reckless ways, and one day it may be someone else they take out , a innocent bystander ..will they still be just kids letting of steam then ???...

Out here in the nearby town of Blackwater, some idiots have been going out to the cemetary and doing burnouts on the cement parking area beside the graves. Most people are saying it's disrespectful, that they shouldn't do it there, but there are comments in the local paper saying "aww, everyone was young once".

You are half right, there were some f16s that did a flyover, but that wasnt the main event, it involved some cars without mudguards going very very fast on closed public roads, the one last year where one of the driver's whinged about the nanny state when one of the touring "hoons" got busted for burnouts.
