I like the sign in the electrical wholesaler we use at work. It says "staff are neither trained nor qualified to give electrical advise". Maybe more places need similar signs.

Superexpensive rubbish it should be rebranded.

Found the same thing, went to buy some LED trailer lights and plugs, and SCA were insanely priced, the local trailer shop had brand name parts for 1/3rd the price.

I rang up Repco for a pair of O2 sensors. NGK $110 each Fuelmiser $170 each.
I asked the guy what was going on as I can get Bosch for $50/60 each or VDO 2 for $90 and these are both Australian stock. I said this has been a trend I have noticed to which he said many trade customers are complaining and Repco people are planning to look at the problem. I hate using ebay as I want to give my money to local businesses but I don't make enough money to pay 2-3 times the price elsewhere. Why is this happening? I use my wifes NMRA card when I shop there as it gives discounts. Certain oil brands have gone up and petrol through dec/jan was way up considering oil was record low for the same months and we were told the ''holiday period'' would be ''cheap for Aussie motorists''. I regularly paid over $1:65 p/l through the same period and it has only dropped to $1:40 something, recently. Nothings so cheap anymore....

Certainly makes sense for an Electrical wholesaler, even if the Staff did know what they were talking about, you wouldn't want to be responsible for customers screw ups.

I find Autopro (Canningvale) very good, I went to SCA for a specific product but don't sell it anymore so thought while there I'll get some injector cleaner for Mrs mazda, Nulon was $16 & the SCA Calibre brand $13 so what the hell bought the Calibre, anyway called into Autopro to get what I wanted only to find their Nulon was $4 cheaper, & $1 cheaper than SCA brand, ended up with Liqui Moly for the XR6 for same price of SCA Nulon
Some shops I don't mind paying a little more providing I get good advice, not somewhere the IQ is less than their shoe size but cheaper
