66 Ford Galaxie 500 with the 390cu in engine.
My dad bought this for $300 in 1975 to tow caravans,He then gave it to me....Mum made me sell it.reckoned Id kill myself in it..great car but crap brakes. 70 Morris 1500ohc Deluxe..with the 5 speed box. Great car except for the rust drove it until it died. 63 XL Falcon deluxe sedan(deluxe meant it got a cigarette lighter and white plastic steering wheel with chrome horn ring) No heater/demister No radio No seatbelts it had the 170cu in engine wit the 2 speed fordomatic.I bought this in 1981 it had 13,000 genuine miles on it,one owner an old bloke who never married I dont think anyone had EVER sat in the rear seat of this car until I bought it.I put another 20,000 miles on it I paid $750 for it sold it for $1500. 78 XC Falcon 500 4.1 column auto but it did have factory air and cloth seats,Nice car to drive especially in the Qld summer, back in those days ac was comparativley rare..traded it on the next car 78 XC Fairmont GS 5.8 factory 4 speed power steer and AC in Pine & Lime(Yellow) with black vinyl roof and black interior..Great car I still own it has just over 60,000km on it. 84 Holden Rodeo 2wd with the 2litre engine & 5 speed It was the LS model probably the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned never let me down, ended up giving it to my sister who drove it for years and had 450.000km on it when the engine finally died. 86 ZL Ford Fairlane 4.1efi engine this care was probably the nicest car I have ever owned it was optioned up with the trip computer and premium sound,I had a few dramas with the electrics, trip computer, interior light delay(driving at night you'd touch the brakes and the interior light would come on then go out again after the delay wouldn't do it everytime just enough to really **** me off)Great touring car though did a few holiday trips in it,perhaps a bit underpowered. 95 Ford CourierXL 4wd 2.6efi engine..I still own this thing underpowered and sucked more fuel than the fairlane after putting two gearboxes in it( I never abused it or even towed anything with it) I parked it in the shed where it still sits covered in dust. 00 AU Falcon XL Ute 4.0l engine 5-speed manual my current drive.. |

*'75 XB Falcon ute: 250/3M, My first car and alot of good memories...
*'79 XD Falcon S-Pack: Brand new/250/4M, Great looking car but the 250 was gutless and the car was full of rattles. When I sold it, there was foam rubber stuffed in every nook and cranny in an attempt to stop the rattles and creaks! *'83 XE Falcon Wagon: 250/3A, Good car and better than the XD. *'88 JE Camira: Believe it or not, it was actually a reliable (ugly!) car & not a bad drive. The day after signing it over to the ex, as part of the divorce, she wrote it off and scored the 'agreed value' insurance payout.... *'78 XC Falcon Wagon: 250/3A, My 'Divorce Car', I was flat broke & paying child support., Cost more to register than it was worth! *'98 TE Magna:3.0L/4A, Good reliable car...but so boring... *'09 FG Falcon XR6: 4L/5A, Current car bought brand new, haven't had any major problems, ~35,000k's and running well, Great highway car. |

XC Falcon 3.3 l auto (I swore I would never again buy a 3.3 litre!)
XC Fairmont 4.1 auto,(Awsome car, went really well with a 350 Holley, why did I sell it?) XF Fairmont Ghia 4.1 EFI Auto, (very very nice car, until some low life scumbag stole it!!) XF Falcon wagon 3.3 auto (why did I buy a 3.3l again!!! , I swear I could run 400 metres faster than this POS) EF Falcon Wagon 4.0l 5 speed (Manuals are much better than autos) BA XR8 Ute 5 speed (Awesome car but it attraced to many dick heads in VN commondores who wanted to race, had to sell very sad ) BA Wagon auto ( Proof Ford built the best wagons, the amount of crap I could carry in the back was unbelievable and 7.5 litres \100 ks on the highway) SY MKII Territiory TS ( even though I miss the V8 with the 5 speed I love to get in this car and just drive it, This car shows Australians can built world class cars, would love it if they made it with a 6 speed manual though)

1976 Ford Escort - I was sixteen and really wanted it bad. Bought it privately and found out that the gearbox was shot. Called the service centre by looking at the windscreen sticker and they told me the owners knew the gearbox was shot. Well, went back to the old guy and demanded my money back. He refused. After a few late night phone calls, his son calls my dad and agrees to refund us the money. I know it's buyer beware, but he knew this was my first car. A little bit of honesty goes a long way.
1985 XF GHIA My first real car as I only had the Escort for a few days. Nothing beats the interior of these cars. Today's interiors look like vinyl and plastic. 1995 NFII GHIA V8. Great car. I love luxury. 1992 EBII Fairmont The car that gave me my username here. Just kept going and going until it did a head gasket. 1994 NCII Fairlane Ghia V8. Awesome car - still have it. 1995 EFII XR8 My only manual and I love it. Don't drive it a great deal and has pretty low ks (125 000). Still have. 1986 XF GHIA - Badly needed to relive my youth. Once again, these interiors rule. Still have. 1999 AU XR8 - The daily. Black, sunroof. Brilliant car. The wife loves driving this. Still have. P6 LTD - 351. All original. Always wanted one since I was a kid. My uncle had one exactly the same colour as mine. The pinnacle of Australian luxury motoring. Still have.

1994 Suzuki Cino Swift (white, 5 door)- parents bought it brand new and gave me a key when I was 17, it then became my daily driver. No air con, tape deck (later upgraded), no power steering, no airbags. Little 1.3 engine and 5 speed manual. I loved that car, and cried the day we sold it. Went for 185,000 kms with us, still had original clutch, engine, everything. Only had wheel bearings and other consumables replaced in the time we owned it.
2011 WS Ford Fiesta Zetec (Vision Blue, 5 door 5 speed)- saw on the lot, thought it was meant to be (as by then the WT's were the Zetecs being brought in to Aus) and bought a week after seeing it (as a new car). Think most people on here know its tale of woe, was a real lemon. Traded it in on Thursday, not sad to see it go at all. Only put 15,500 kms on it. 2012 Suzuki Swift Sport (white, 6 speed)- again, one that has sat on the lot for a while but too amazing a deal to pass up (and again, a new car!). Had since Thursday, has less than 200kms on it. LOVE IT. Hoping to keep for many years to come : ) And as a bonus- 2006 Aprilia Sportcity 200- shared with the parents. Think it is close to 25/30,000 kms now, and going like a trooper. Really fun scooter, now that I finally have my P's on the bikes planning to take some bigger trips on it : D
