Nice work getting these pics mate. :

Looks like I will be sitting out this years Sydney Motorshow.

Was expecting some sort of new bonnet design on the typhoon to link it to the drift 6. Maybe even a few more Kw.
But instead they are trying to sell us fairmont's with front spoiler and side skirts :

Is this FPV response to the New HSV VE range??

The chrome detailing around the fog lights is a bit calais isn't it? (at least i'm sure i've seen it before somewhere!). As is the force logo

Meh, look good but a bit disappointing.

Exactly. Its frustratingly stupid that they haven't even bothered to update the front. Unless they are running around in mockups for the time being, it would have been far better if they devloped a sport version of the XT front.

But this is Ford after all... lets not try to hard, eh fellas?

Is it just me or do I see something lurking behind the grill of the black one in pic 2 (looks kinda red, could just be an odd reflection)? Honestly I don't think they'll look so similar to the GT/Typhoon, I think they're just hiding the look and testing out whatever is under the bonnet (if there is something under the bonnet) and maybe a few special items, like maybe sat nav or something, I dunno. Who know's really? They (Ford) could have a $h|tload of tricks up their sleeve.

Nice. Very Nice. But this stuff should be standard on the Ghia, rather than needing a separate FPV Force X model. Superficially, they seem to be on par with a Calais V.

I think the Forces are just coporate models of the Typhoon and GT.

I agree that the badge looks shite.

No. FPV haven’t seen the need to respond to HSV since late 2002. If you read the press releases from 2000 you will get a better idea of what the FPV product is all about.

Its sole aim is to provide Ford enthusiasts with a good looking a to b car that will provide class leading fuel economy.

Force 8 appeals to me, I've never been a big fan of bodykits, I prefer the sleeper option. GT running gear minus the bollocks.. nice.

Before anyone says it, yes I know my GTS is plastic fantastic, and no, I dont like it, I only wanted the running gear.

Very boring... it frustrates me when car companies play lucky dip from the parts bin and come up with a so called "new model", what exactly is new? no styling differences or flair, just a re hashed mix of existing parts and a fresh badge... BORING...

power seats and leather standard.. hmm.. BIG CHANGE!
I still think its a waste of money developing such a model when it looks exactly the same. Such a lame effort. At least most of the HSV's actually LOOK different. The BA FPV's looked the nicest imo.. they've gone downhill since then..

ok there had better be something special under the bonnet or this is very disappointing, just a gt/f6 without a wing.

What.... from each other?
IMO there is little difference between the Clubsport - R8 - GTS.

Do they look diferent to the Omega - SV6 - SS.... well yeah, the same way FPV is different to the XR6T and XR8 of Ford.

Let’s just hope that this lack of development and cost cutting over the last 4 years is a sign that the money has been put towards better and greater things. HSV have set FPV a hard bar to pass. Already lagging behind in performance of the V8 product, FPV now have a stiff investment issue to contend with in areas of suspension and handling compromises in a market that probably doesn't deserve the development dollar FPV must find to become competitive on a feature for feature basis.
