Well that's pizza-poor. 100 'lanes. Where have all the masters of style gone?? I must say whilst not in the market for a new one I have been looking for a '99 - '01 Fairlane second-hand and I haven't seen one on LPG. I sure won't buy one without it.

No f$#king way! Only 5198 vehicles sold! I'd say half of the Falcons were LPG equipped.

Those Terry figures seem like a concern to me (100% opinion), the diesel Terry might be really growing in importance.

those figures don't suprise me at all. a lot of people i know and that i have talked to have no interest in australian cars and are only interested in ford because of the focus. they have gone to toyota and other such makes because of the quality.

Looks like public/corporate buyer fear is winning out easily, small cars generally dominating for day to day use.

Its clear Ford need to advertise the excellent fuel consumption achievable with the Falcon. But of course (once again) they wont, cause they're nongs.

They didnt, sold 1,040, and this is the month before the new pricing structure.

WTF? How are Holden managing to hoodwink the public into buying such a POS as compared to the BF and the 380? Marketing only goes so far. Me thinks someone at Holden is lining the pockets of the government and private fleet buyers. But thats just me.

IMO - If petrol prices keep going the way they are, it will be ahead of Falcon at least one of the months before the end of the year (so long as Mazda don't have any supply issues). How long till the Focus outsells the Falcon for the first time?

However a good result for the 380 - staying about the 1000 units mark in a down month.

laughable at best for the falcon but nothing can really be done as petrol prices are influencing buyers. maybe ford should concentrate on marketing their smaller cars a lot better. if petrol keeps going the way it is ford better re think their product line up.

Its all because holden are doing extremely crazy deals to move the last of the VZ.. I think people are certainly cashing in on the bonus's available just like they did ealier in the year with Fords $2,000 and $3,000 cash back on 05 plates.

Ford are responding in terms of pricing though. In another thread I started, my local Ford dealer quoted $37,800 for an SR driveaway. Nationally they are now down to $32,888 driveaway, undercutting the Commodore SVZ buy just over a $100 bucks.

The month of May will be interesting......

One of the guys on AMC has been quoted $37k +ORC for an 05 plate 380GT (top of the line 380). Apparently they can't find one in the colour he wants so they will give him a 06 plate for the same price.

I take it the big four are about to get into a messy pricing war.
