Interested to see how well these things handle. Wonder if the 4-pot is quicker around a tight track due to weight benefits etc...? Although I would imagine without the forced induction getting power down in the V8 could be quite good, be nice revving to 7500rpm :-) These rev to 6800 or something in N/A guise don't they? Even that would be a nice bump up from the rev limit on our blown 8s.

Was talking with the new car manager at the local Ford dealer the other day and we got onto the subject of Mustang.
He said that the dealer group (4 dealer ships) had taken aprox' 50 orders so far. 14 of them for the 4 pot. Seems like this will sell well, at least initially. The test will come after the shine has worn of the new kid on the block and all the enthusiasts have bought one. BTW, he also said they still had 19 orders for the XR8 they were yet to fill as well (if they can), don't tell me there isn't a market for performance cars. Cheers.

LOVE the 4 cylinder, i was very surprised at the power it has, lays rubber easily when stalled up, and feels very light and nimble through the twistys
