NOOOO, i've been knocked back on the loan with heritage, as there wasn't enough security offered on the loan ammount, will have to try with the ecu now.

Yeah you're right, gonna be great, i get to pick it up at bribie island, my uncle is taking it there and then we are going for a drive to his "hot shot" fishing area. Will pot some photos up once i get her.

There is a good place to get on the beach on Bribie, just be careful of the tides. This beach is on the ocean side

You need a permit to go on that side don't you. My uncle the one im buying it off, lives at redcliff and often goes to Bribie has has 2 hot spots one on both sides, Surf side and in land side, the inland side has a little BBQ/picnic area so going to go to that side.

I am not sure about the permit, we were in a mates Mazda Bravo and he is a local, actually thinking about it, I think he did have a permit. Not 100%

I have taken the roof rack off it for now, going to keep it but only put it on when i need it. Done a little mud work last night on the way home very fun. Good on the flat but does die a little up hill if you don't approach it right.

If you go to Nissan they will have record of it on their data base, when Ford got out of them they handed the whole thing, lock, stock and barrell back to Nissan.

As much as I'd like to pretend that I saw it in the pic, I just remember driving one just before they were released... and as a car borrowed from FordHQ for the weekend, they sure do go well in the bush! The mud on the roof took a while to get off though... Pity it was black too as the scratches on the side were pretty visible even after trying a cut and polish... oops! Oh well, someone got a good deal on an 'executive' Maverick some months later!!

BTW, the Nissan window logos were in the corner with the Aust Standard info, logo and safety glass writing. I think the air con unit label was pretty clear in the engine bay 'Nissan Air' or similar. Maybe it was just the early ones, dunno...

Ok i haven't seen the air cond logo, but i have seen the window ones.

They even came out with Nissan oil, air, fuel filters. Yes, the windows, seatbelts all had Nissan logo's as well. BTW, I don't think Ford was trying to hide the fact they were Nissans.

Yeah i even call it a Patrol when asked what's that car i brought the other day, when i paint it i think im going to totally debadge it, then have a Maverick sign on one side and Patrol on the other just to confuse people.

Take it for a trip out to Landcruiser Park in Jimna .... great camping weekend out there with heaps of fun 4WD tracks and a mud (Pig Pen) play area ;) Guarantee you will love it.

Thinking of a paintjob for her, Painting right side in nissan colours and having nissan badge, and on right side painting it in ford colours with Maverick Badge. Just to be different.

Lol well yeah thats true, I've notice that if going up hill, If im doing 2700rpm or more the car will not drop speed, if im doing under that it will.

That is where the peak torque for the diesel engine is, if I remember right.

When i had mine i fitted it with pacemaker extractors n a 2 and a half inch sports exhaust also a K&N filter that made a world of differance
Lift it up a bit n fit 33 inch tyres n have fun
