Sedan looks good.
Coupe looks like a bigger, over styled version of that coupe Hyundai sold in the 90's. Pass for me.

Hadn't really noticed until a mate from work came around so I could fix a few stone chips in his windscreen, and he parked his 2005 FPV F6 Typhoon sedan next to our new G6E...the poor old Typhoon really looked dated, and it's only a bit over 5 years old. Still a damn nice car, but side by side with a new shape one, it just looks ordinary. Give the FG a couple of years and I imagine it will look dated as well. Happens with any new car of any make from any country.

In fact there are a lot of new shapes from various makers that look "odd" when released, but after a short period of time you see them completely differently.

Nice looking cars, no doubt with all the bells & whistles, since the Audi designer moved to the Hy/Kia camp their cars have come to life!

Great for consumers, Toyota will be the biggest loser down the track...

Ford America were very scared when the Genesis coupe was first introduced in the USA some time back. When Motor Trend magazine asked Ford for a Mustang so it could do a comparison test, the request was refused as Ford thought the Genesis might be judged to be a better buy.

Sedan looks fantastic. An 8 in manual could be very interesting....

The coupe's front is a bit i dunno, but kitted up looks pretty good (like the red one with the body kit on page 1). Mmmm potential new age drift car?

exactly ! the only way to describe how that looks. I dont know where "it looks tough" is coming from Looks like you typical tokyo drift .

That's an interesting point. I'm keen to see how Hyundai educates potential buyers to the fact that this is not a Tiburon update but a completely different car.

Coupe would look nice in black. Not so great in that kermit green.


I'd consider the V8 sedan as a family car. Looks very nice and luxury.
If Hyundai started bringing in better cars to Australia, they would shake their 'cheap' image.

It is a shame that the Australian dollar is so high, otherwise there is a factory in Adelaide that was close to building the Sedan and Coupe locally.

Would definitely like to see how the Ford and Holden markets would be with homegrown V8 RWD's being offered by another manufacturer.

I've got an old issue of Motor Trend from about a year ago which compared these with the 6cyl Mustang and Camaro. Hyundai won.

Shame about the styling...
