Don't know mate, I haven't seen that site.

Here is Justins quote though.
Adds Capicchiano: "And the piston isn't a forged piston, both are gravity-cast. One is just slightly heavier than the other [and] the Turbo one has a slightly flatter profile. Oh, and the gudgeon pin, and it isn't that it's better, it's just to suit the different piston."

A rebuild on a Signature is apparently about 60k these days!!!

They used to fit them to Volvo's way back then and even these days there are some Macks getting around with them fitted too.
Yep, Bunkers had two that exploded across the Nullarbor.

Apologies for going off topic.............

Well just quickly while we're on the subject.

My old man works for a BIG drainage company in Melbourne operating excavators of all sorts of of sizes right up from 30 to 70Tonners.

Anyways they have Macks fitted with Signature 600's.

Apparently recently one of the Signatures seized up while hauling an excavator.

Cummins told the boss's the block was twisted and it was cheaper to fit a whole new engine than rebuild the bent one!!! (which makes sense!)

60k down the drain lol!!!

Some of the stories my old man comes home with about operators and the **** that goes wrong would blow your mind lol???

The gudgeon pin is what makes the assembly stronger. And yes it's different to suit the different piston, but not much difference.
