May I just remind everyone that while it is fine to have an opinion it is also essential to respect the opinions of others. Personal attacks are a breach of the site T&C and as such will not be tolerated.

Best and Less have a little bit of better taste than that.

And I'm not saying that just cause I work there either.

This is why I think the Olympics are a waste of time...

We focus so much on rubbish like fashion and appearance that the honour of representation is at the bottom of the list, well behind money, sponsorship etc.

And it's a "Smurf of Smurfs."
A Smurfing good smurf while I smurf my smurf.

Agreed. So lets forget all that crap and start backing our elite athletes in winning all that gold. Go Aussies go!

Speaking of gold, I do prefer the green and gold, along with the boxing Kangaroo.

Anyways regardless of uniform, hope they do well.

I've had enough of this BS hey.

They did the blue because "The younger generation" doesn't like green and gold..
BS, I love the Green and gold its our sporting colours.

If we went out in green and gold with the southern cross with the same materials i bet no one would whinge!

I was prior bagging the Yanks out for the golfing hats.

Then I saw the Aussies and shut up quickly.

Damn designers who cares about style we want AUSSIE!

Obviously not the designers....

Personally, I think the dark green with yellow stripes not unlike the aussie one day cricket team uniform would be the go

Whilst I was disappointed by our athlete's uniform, I wouldn't say it was ugly. It was just plain and boring, with no obvious relevance to Australia.

I thought Ukraine's very bright blue & yellow looked the worse even if it did replicate the colours in it's flag; with the Hungarian womens a close second (red splotches on white or were they supposed to be leaves?).

For intimidation effect, our athletes should have kept it simple.
Black jeans, brown shirt and a dark denim jacket.

I love the Green & Gold.

It's been our national sporting colours for god knows how long!
BS about the younger generation disliking the G&G. I'd rather that over blue anyday!

I'm proud of our Aussie's over there sticking it to them, and no matter how 'bad' they looked, at least they were being themselves, and not walking military style like they've got a stick up their butt.

Doesn't it make you feel proud to be Aussie when you hear our chant being yelled from the stands of beijing or in the street when we win a medal?

Bloody Proud to be Australian (y)

What's wrong with the green and gold? This is the first time I've heard anyone disliking it, and I'm in the younger generation (I think! Does 23 still count?)

nope, you're over the hill king. I'm still hanging onto 21 =)

Dark blue would work nicely, as long as it's got the southern cross, i think it would be good

Green and Gold is not a nice combo. It's very in-your-face. I only like it in cricket really.

Blue, White and Red is a far nicer mix, and is the colour of your flag.

I wouldn't mind losing the Union Jack though, and having something nicer, like a bum with a fist coming out of it instead.
