I must be the only person in the world not to be a Zelda fan. Never really got into it.

The problem I have with the Wii controller is that I can't see myself sitting on the couch swinging it around a 3:00 in the morning, which is when I do alot of my gaming. Don't get me wrong - I think the idea is cool - but I think the novelty would wear off after a while. It seems to be more of a party console, sort of like the PS2 Eye-toy, sing star and guitar thingy.

Apparently be very careful with the controller, the strap can break and it can then allow the controller to go anywhere, like smash the TV or whatever it hits, you have to going hard for it to happen, but it has happened planty of times, and there is no solution planned at present.

If sega still had a console i'd get one in a sec. Might get a dreamcast on ebay lol. Back to the topic. The Wii would be an awesome machine, with its cheap price it shouldnt have trouble selling well. My vote would be for the X360 tho, more grown up, heaps of great titles, and graphics that will be more than a match for PS3, its cheaper too.

for all those people wanting to get the PS3 do you realise you will be paying about $1000 for the thing, and the reason why its going to be stupidly expensive is because sony is using it to get their blue-ray drives into the market.

These blue-ray drives are completely useless at the moment and will be useless for years to come and they are very expensive.

Long live Nintendo, the only true gaming console! who cares about the graphics when you will only be playing on it on a crappy low res TV/plasma anyway

I went to the midnight launch with my mate and also picked one up for my other mate while there cause he had to work, took them back home, played wii sports for ages. Its a little 'odd' at first, but I tell you, its awesome! I havnt had a chance to play zelda properly yet, but all I can say is, Im convinced!

I totally agree. Blu-Ray will be a disaster like Betacord, and buyers will be left with a $999 PS2 with better graphics.

Surprisingly, I'm playing Wii Sports more than Zelda, and I'm a big Zelda fan. I was going to get Call of Duty 3 next, but I may get Wii Play now!

I just spoke to the mate I was talking about (who isn't anti-Nintendo, just pro-Microsoft and pro-Sony) who played a Wii a few nights back. He loves it and can't stop playing it and plans on buying one asap (when he gets paid next) :P

I can't dispute your love for Nintendo, and I agree with what you say in regards to them. They are the gaming king

However that quote is pretty far from the truth. FYI - it's Blu-ray (not Blue).

Well ive been a Nintendo fan since NES when i was just a kid and had every N console since. I played this damn thing for the first time and holy sh1t im hooked. TP looks *** insanse. Been waiting for it since the wind waker on GC. No matter what games Nintendo produce it will always be the quality system. Playstation to me is a tacky 2nd rate system, while i dont mind the xbox. Im sick of hearing the same old "kiddie" ******** argument. Let your mind go free... thats what these consoles are for... Maybe i dont find it kiddie because ive been hooked on N for 15+ years.

Have a look at the games on it..... most of them are on all 3 platforms so I dont get the whole "kiddie" argument. I'm so damn tempted to buy one.........

Anyone used the Wii Shop yet? I just downloaded the original NES Zelda, which was way too easy to do (so I'm likely to give the credit card a workout and spend too much on downloading games).

i have played one, and to tell you the truth i was really let down. the game play with the controls has really got alot of potential, but at the moment the graphics let it down. i was disappointed. BUT it could be the start of a new style of gameplay. better games would be good too...

Saw a website of the damage photos .... hee hee.
Funny indeed.
The straps look weaker than fine string.
