They didnt, they were never fitted on, they were bought in the late 60's early 70's and sat in a shed forever.

I'll stick with Hustler... BUT, I reckon Aunger made them, not Cheviot

try and chuck one on your XT........if they fit you'll know for sure that they're ford wheels.....

would hate for you to sell them to someone thinking they'd fit a ford without you trial fitting them first....

Smincer... These are ONE piece cast ally.. The 2 piece your thinking were early Dragways that had a steel rim with pressed in ally centre (very similar spoke design)
Put your Glasses on and have a look. You can see the Machined Aluminium Inner Rim, and the Rusty Steel Outer Rim, just like the Picture GSWXA posted. They are Two Piece, and as many others have said, a Factory Option back in the day.

The Dragway Wheels you are talking about Didn't have the Aluminium Section to the Rim.

They're ford Sports road wheels, 2 piece, alloy inner, steel rims on the outer, option 52 on XB, but were an option from XY to XB.

Edit:

Ive actually seen a Vinyl roof yellow ochre Phase 3 with them factory fitted, my XBGT had them, so did many others, 14 x 6.
They dont like abuse after 35+ years though.

I had a set of Tasmans on my old XM which look excatly like them a common aftermart wheel design in the Late 60's early 70's on which Ford copied the design as wheel option. But I would say they are the Ford wheel.

Did you search around on Ebay to see what other comparable sets of Wheels are going for?

Have you established if they are Ford or Holden? I might be interested if I could be sure you were sure.

Seeing as they came off an XT Falcon, we will assume they are Ford.

Well in an earlier post they were presumed to be from a Monaro.

The Sports Road wheel has its date of manufacture and part number stamped on the inside edge of the rim. The tyre has to be removed to see this.

Good bit of info on that site.

I did a search on the wheel design. Apperently the original design was by American racing in the 50's called Torque Thrusters In Australia they were called Tasman wheels also Aunger (Cheviot) had a design the same called Hustlers then Ford offered that wheel design as a option American racing still have the design in original & later designs.
