Had some quality time at the local dyno for an AFR check and general talk %^&* session. Saw some tough cars, with a certain Phantom Turbo 6 in the build with a requirement for over 500.

Mine made 450 and 1130NM at the rear wheels with safe (fat) fuel trim, just under 14psi. Happy days.

drove to and from work in WPN270, toyed with a vt wagon (i'll give the guy points he could actually drive) and then slaughtered him (he was gracious in defeat)

looked at QTR ELF (my ef drag car project), measured up front headlight area for new turbo induction (removing drivers light and replacing with mesh.

Rubbed back front bar to get ready to plastic weld the crack and holes on bottom of bar.

might get the aluminum panels to make gauge dash and door panels tomorrow.

I replaced the front OEM Rotors, pads and brake lines with DBA 4000 rotors, Brembo pads and Goodridge braided lines thanks to Race brakes Sydney.

It is not what I did to it but what I did with it.

1996 EL monty sedan, 350k, stock except for head unit.

On Friday drove 1140km from Geelong to Singleton. Partied for Sat and Sun and drove back to Geelong on Monday including a single run from Wyong to Euroa on a single tank, 786km with 61 to go on the trip computer.

Why bother with a new one?

Purchased some rear shocks from fleabay to get rid of the annoying rattle and clunk from a busted shockie.

I had a slight back flash to a few years ago when you had to actually drive around to the spares shops and try and haggle a good price.

Ahh the memories of spending a few hours driving around to find a good price, only to realise that you spent half a day and half a tank of fuel trying to save a couple of dollars.

Good times..........

Picked up my rear control arms from my old car (complete with good bushes) and have the lack of desire to fit them.

Gave the falcon a bath, pumped up tires and brimmed the tank with 98 ready for long weekend away at Port Campbell.

Gave it a minor wash to remove the bugs from my trip to Renmark on Sunday, and removed the stick on FPV badges which were starting to look a bit dodgy

I gave the ute my usual morning cuddle and went to work.
Then CAT600 took me for a drive in Aluminator.

Now my ute wont talk to me because I called it weak and we argued about turbos on V8's and stuff. (The ute called them poofy hairdryers and I was threatening to rip Kenny off and fit a centri to it. Got a bit heated)
I will apologise in the morning and treat it to a bit of redline rpm when I get home.

Dynoed the FG, made 650-oddrwkw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxKX3ZKC_gk

Subsequently ruined JB's night out with his ute.

Damn, paid for shocks yesterday and they arrived today.

All fitted up and test drove, happily the rear end is nice and quiet now.

The top bushing in the shocks was the fault as they must have dropped their show bags and walked off because they were not where they were meant to be.

Checked the tyre pressures(first time in 10000km) and realised they were a tad low, like 10psi too low! Gave the ute a bath and chucked in some fuel, then proceeded to waste some of said fuel checking if the axle tramp is as bad with pumped up tyres
Goes better with air in the black round things

Put a new regulator for the gauges in behind the dash and managed to have the headlight switch fall apart while the dash was going back in :(
Hopefully have a new switch in 2-3 weeks.
