While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

I saw a xc falcon with a 6 cyl motor. It was like a footy game at anz stadium with 3 people in the crowd. Needs a boss 5.4 to fill up the acreage of space.

For standard, as I put my flame suit on,

I love the LS1 engine bays! Maybe because it was my 1st V8. But Ive got a massive soft spot for them!

In stock engine bays on aussie cars I would say E49, LJ XU1 and the humble XE~F EFI... no plastic purely functional!

great idea for a thread hulk, you retain the title "master thread starter"

my vote goes to the boss 290/302/315 engine bay. just a mother of a beast of an engine for a modern era car, especially in the ford dark blue colour, may look a bit plastic but theres actually not much plastic really..........

Jaguar V12. Either the post 1992 update model with all the wires tidied up or the earlier E-Type V-12...

No Plastic Covers in those engine bays! (unless you count wiring insulation).
