I'd be happy to have one currency if we can have one rugby team.

You don't want to start on Mount Isa, not my pride but maybe your safety. Townsville is home to alot of ex-isans.

I didn't realise this was a payout on Kiwi's thread.

I am a kiwi and proud of it. I think a united currency makes a stronger entity in the pacific but as a state I think Australian government would ruin the the place and treat it like it does Tassi. I think this country is a very greedy place and people only think of them selves. Sure in time of need its a very giving nation of people, what I mean is in Business and people working in the corperate feild who are on huge pays and bonuses and have the cheek to say workers are over paid etc..

Can see why Jon Hoppa ddid what he did he must know that some day aussie will do it to us

So if New Zealand is a country made up of islands ,does that mean that Australia is the mainland?

Great to see the Ford Forum community can have a civilised discussion without stooping to the usual Kiwi bashing.... Not !

Some of you are worse than school kids in the playground, or maybe you are school kids that should be :

As for the combined currency, No Thanks :the_finge

New currency?? No thanks, what a waste of money to pull AUD/NZD out of circulation and replace entirely. Look at the billions and billions spent in the euro-zone.

NZ wants to use AUD? Be my guest.

New Zealand was infact to be included in Federation, but pulled out while the constitution was being drafted. So, they had their chance.

Well I guess you people only know nothing about why that never went ahead oh and new zaeland did not really pull out. You see your democraticly elected government only wants you to hear what it wants you to hear. It will come our years from now just like the so called treaty of Wiatangi which the Moari people signed but as all those who decieve or try to cover up it will all ways come to the surface evenually and in this case it was in the form of a document signed by King Goerge which give all land rights to the Moaris. This document has been found and it rear its head on an occasion I am sure most have read about when New Zealand went for a loan at the world bank and of course as any leader of a country does they use the country as some sort of surety but this time it was founfd that infact the New Zealand government did not own the country but the indiginous people did and was proven on documentation hidden pre waitangi. How do I know, wel it is no secret but lets say that I just know people in high places on both sides.

T get back on track with the topic, I had a wee think about this and have read the posts of both sides. It would apear that the answers are pride driven and entwined in that pride is a little hatred for one another, a bit like england and scotland if you will and don't try to sell the good sporting nations thing because that would be like ****ing down my back and telling me its raining. The point to this is lets get over our selves and think like adults. There are a few countries in europe that are seriously regretting not becomming apart of the euro. Can one of you tell me what was so wrong about them doing this I mean those that are in it have prospered from it and who here is to say that both in our ****y existance down under would not benifit form some form of unison that strengthens our position as a trading comunity. lets not get all tide up in our identities and cloud our judgement for the greater good and survival.

Sorry what I did fail to mention with regard to the federation thing as explained in my previous post, It was infact not a good thing for Australia to embrase the NZ federation thing as it would have infact became responsible for repaying the Moaori people for the big cover up.

Of course alot more indepth than that and more could be said but in a nut shell that is it. So if you have a comment on NZ and political history make sure you know what your talking about. behind some political decisions there is a hidden ajenda or reason for doing or not doing and not always the obvious either.
