THIEVES have stolen the prized possession of Perth car enthusiast Don Hart - one of only two limited edition 1972 GTR XU1 Holden Toranas in WA.

The red car was stolen from a shed on Mr Hart's Baskerville property between September 24 and October 2.

Mr Hart said the car was much sought-after by collectors because it was manufactured in the same year that racing legend Peter Brock drove a Torana to victory at Bathurst.

"I've had it for 19 years and it's close to my heart,'' he said.

"I have four sons and we are all into cars. I was hoping to give it to them.

"It is quite a valuable car. The thieves probably knew what they were looking for.''

Police urged anyone who has seen the car, registration 7IT 621, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

My best mate's car (i previously owned) was

STOLEN FROM THE GLEN WAVERLY SHOPPING CENTRE (melbourne)

between the hours of 10am-4:30pm 24th October Wednesday.

Its a FORD XE FAIRMONT 1984 GOLD in colour

REGO PLATES VICTORIAN UHU-518

It has xe ghia rims on the front and 12 slots on the rear with a fusion sticker

on the rear back window of car.

If anyone knows of any cheap parts or bits and pieces please contact the

POLICE or PM of details.

Over the weekend of the 17-18/11/07 this car (Burgandy Ford EB V8 Fairmont) was stolen from outside Rod Laver Arena. It is a very noticable car with factory sunroof, leather interior and EL GT wheels. If anyone see's it around (parked or dumped), or knows of anyone offloading parts please PM me. Its my ex-girls new boyfriends car but I feel bad for him as it was all he had.

Drag Racing competitor Todd Jones' F250 ute (Registration: PEDRO), 'Guthrie Racing' 40ft white trailer and Mustang Race Car (Number 2260) as well as tools and spares have been stolen early this morning from his Slacks Creek workshop in Queensland.

The distinctive trailer is emblazoned with 'Guthrie Racing' along the sides and back, and the set-up is believed to have been stolen from the 57 Rowland Street, Slacks Creek, premises at approximately 11.30pm last night with a number of persons involved.

Jones was due to compete in the Supergas category at the Willowbank Raceway Night Fire Top Fuel Spectacular event to be held today and tomorrow, however upon arrival at his workshop early this morning Jones found the gates to have been cut open and his valuable equipment missing from the workshop compound.

Jones and local police are currently appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything in regards to this matter to come forward, as any information may be helpful in recovering the stolen goods. If you can help, please call Willowbank Raceway on 07 5461 5461, Steve Bettes on 0409 489 294 or their local police station immediately.

Please be cautious if anyone is selling the following parts:

-Enkei J-speed 3, white with polished lip Only set in Australia
-JIC Front Strut (really fat 3" round polished pipe, rare)
-CTR gearbox
-Mugen front lip and EG6 1 piece rear wing

The rims and the strut are very rare items and anyone who has these on their car will stand out like a face tumour.

Hmmn, as Kermit pointed out, The stolen car post (in ebay) has been pulled. One can only hope the owner has got his car back and it's no longer needed and not a case of Ebay being rats : and pulling it because they no like it being there.
here's a pic of the car in question taken at Wintersun 2007 so assuming it is still stolen/missing, ring the cops if you see it just in case.

TS50 Build 001, the old mans car, has been PINCHED.

The car has attracted some interest to buy of recent from several parties, and in order to collect the very best price (and have that price backed by a couple of independant valuations), the car was taken to a well known panel shop in the Perth northern suburb of Malaga.

On the night of Wednesday 24th September, at about 6:30pm after some minor paintwork/polish, the car was backed outside the panelshops' shed, parked in the adjoining carpark and the keys CARELESSLEY LEFT IN THE IGNITION................. Within 20 minutes the car was gone, and no sight has been seen since.

Many hours have been spent searching, and between the police, myself and some close friends, we have turned up zilch.

Three things:

1) Please, I want no speculation of any kind as to an "inside job". Though there is always the possibility, everybody is innocent until proven guilty and the law will be the device used to bring any perpertrator to justice.

2) In the event the car has been stripped or used as an attempt to rebirth another car, please keep your eyes peeled for any suspicious parts sales on Ebay, Trading post, word of mouth or the sudden shock re-appearance of a long-lost T3.

3) If the car has gone underground (to a long-term collector or such), I would BEG anybody that gets a whiff of information to contact me on 0433 408 808. There is a substantial reward on the table (in the tens of thousands of dollars) that is available to anybody that provides the vital infomation leading to its recovery.

I know a lot of guys on here would question the collectabillity of a 7 year old "late model muscle car", but Build 001 already has/had an initial written valuation for insurance of $80,000 by a well known enthusiast insurer pending sighting. There has also been a couple of offers above 40K, and one of almost 50K at this stage. My old man takes its saleability very seriously, and hence the magnitude of the reward.

As with any such incident, insurance will cover the financial loss, but with the emotional attachment involved, it was a sad day for my old man. But we do hold hope that our eyes and ears on AFF here will be watching and waiting......

1st Nov - New Information from a neighbor: The person that stole this possibly lives around the Lewisham area (said he drives past the car every day), and apparently owns 2 similar ford falcons. He stole the car with a car trailer after asking neighbors if they owned it and how long it had been there. Age: Late 20's. He said he intended to use the car as spare parts. DO YOU KNOW THIS PERSON? PLEASE CALL. I JUST WANT THE CAR BACK - NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Unique things to spot:
XA Door handle on drivers side (correct on passenger side)
Rear end is XC (taillights etc). Has cutout for dual exhaust but only has single 2.5" exhaust.
Screw Hole in drivers side front column (inside) where a monster taco used to be.

FOUND IT, don't have the car back as of yet but its in a secure holding yard at a towing company, waiting for insurance to assess the car for damage. Got a call from the police tuesday lunch time to say it had been reported sitting in a Coles carpark at Corinda, about 15mins from my place for the last few weeks, the policeman who first inspected it, said it looked to be undamaged and the car was locked, stereos still there and the lock barrels look to be intact. Was just in the nic of time too, was going to sign the car over to the insurnace compny yesterday and cancel the rego. Will hopefully get to pic her up tomorrow if its ok to drive and the assesers done with it. If any damage is less than the $400 excess I'll withdraw the claim and fix it myself.

Like to thank anyone who took any notice and has been keeping an eye out or it.

they are au xls or xr6 rims

they have candy red on the tips of the rims and stand out alot so if ya see them give me a pm

lol i just put xr8 17" rims on my car they were sittin in my driveway and got nikked during the afternoon of the changeover when i was at work
