correct.... the EL gli/futura's got their own bonnet, best way to describe it is a low series bonnet with a grille....

sorry, what i meant by high series, is that the centre of the bonnet steps up from the sides, same as the fairmonts. so has anyone used a sequential scoop on this type of bonnet,or is the step up in the way.

Your right, your Futura bonnet still has the step up over the engine, but the bulge is a lot higher and tougher looking on Fairmont bonnets. Even Gli and XR models have the bulge. But you could put a sequential scoop on your bonnet no dramas. You'd have to cut into the bonnet thou to make it fit or upgrade to an XR bonnet, if it was the same colour you could do a straight swap over.

Like I told Polyal, once my car is done I'll post pictures to show you what it would look like.

Yeah i have a pod in the box. I couldnt keep the panel filter as the air comes through the lid, and would have gone straight up the intake pipe.

Now you have lost - how does the sequential scoop get cold air to the air box - or isn't that how it works?

As the Air Box is at the front of the car and the sequential looks like it goes near the middle of the bonnet.....

I believe you use piping or ducting to help direct the air in.

Nope, the scoop sits directly over the air box mate

What happens when it rains? Does the filter get all wet?

I have my pod pointing down so it dosnt get wet. It gets a few drops on it, but thats it. If it is pouring down, i generall change the scoop to the original one. Most setups i have seen however, the filter is exposed, so yeah you have to be carefull.

There was a lot of talk about this kinda thing on Fordmods. I remember someone who did it said they drilled holes in the bottom most part of the box to help drain any water that did build up in there due to rain.
