Default Car laws in qld

I maybe moving to qld. Do they have any rules regarding the age (under 25 ,etc) your allowed to own a v8.

I should not have to sell my car when I have already brought it before even contemplated moving interstate from nsw to qld.

I have not found any useful information on the Queensland Transport Website.

No laws yet regarding performance cars for young drivers, although they are talking about introducing it in the future. We do have anti-hoon laws like other states but you can drive any car you like at any age. My nephew has a 400rwhp Silvia & he's only 20!

even if the new laws come in, which they will soon, if you already own the car they cant make you sell it full stop! but anyone affected by the law will not be able to buy a 'prohibited' vehicle NOR drive one.

go qld

why should you have a license in qld? my mate got caught driving his unregged car like a maniac, and he is on his L's .. yet they let him go because he was 'tuning it' 'trying to get it registered' what a liar!

those new laws about high powered vehicles affect anyone who wants to buy a high powered car, (Even full license) up to 26 years old... in vic next year i think it is, it's such BULL

Victoria is officially shite! The cops can now impound your car (first offence) even if you lose traction (in wet, round corner) whatever because they can call it hoon behaviour! You lose the car for 48hrs then it costs like $300 to get the car out of impound! I don't know about other people but when driving manual your gonna get a bit of traction loss at times, I just have to pray there's no cop within sight whilst driving! Second offence is 3 months and a third offence they can take your car off you permanently! Im moving interstate end next year cos it's ridiculous to let cop's use their personal judgement to determine hoon behaviour, only takes one a** hole cop that hates young drivers in Hi-Po cars to make shite up and impound ya car! Vic Governments corrupt as!
