Line is fine, I fill up in the mornings and never wait. People whinge but I’ve never waited longer than 10 minutes in an afternoon.. Compared to Shell/BP in Fyshwick I save around $25-$30 per fill. For me, it makes it worth it. I’ve never had a single issue with their fuel.

Remember, Costco in Fyshwick is the sole reason our petrol in Canberra is no longer 20cents more than Sydney. Like it always was before they came to town. They used to blame the “freight” cost for the 20 cents.

We are all being rorted but since December I’ve saved $380 on fuel compared to filling up at the most expensive place within 5km of where I filled up at the time. I’ve kept a spreadsheet, might post it on here. $380 is two AU falcons, that’s 12 a year for filling up at the cheapest servo.

2 Walters Street, Craigieburn as of 6:30AM

All the ones on the main drag Craigieburn Rd are $2.319 for 91, managed to get 98 for $2.099

There's still some hovering low always off the beaten drag.

Some weird stuff going on with the prices at the moment. Usually when there is a huge disparity in prices between servos, the cheaper ones will catch up within a few days. But the big gaps have stayed for a couple of weeks now.

Just filled up on 98 for $2.08 in Wantirna. Drove a suburb over and its $2.5x. Crazy.

WTI and Brent are still in their 80s. Makes no sense.

Managed to get 98 for similar pricing at the Diggers Rest roadhouse on the way home yesterday. But yeah, everywhere else was $2.3x for 91.

Is everyone still using Petrol Spy?

Yep, I still use petrol spy when travelling. Was up in Newcastle and Shell was 2.329, 2km away at an independant it was 1.669. This was two weeks ago. I filled up with 62 litres, that's a $40 saving for driving 2km away, or 6 pints of beer at the local, i'll take it.

I went back to using 98 now, I drive less and the majority of my car cost is actually parking now so paying a little extra for 98 is worth it and tiny in comparison to other car related costs.

Still cheap atm, I paid $1.69 for my diesel and $1.79 for 98; let us hope it stays that way for longer.

Its still got nothing on 2017 prices - got reciepts for 98 at $1.27/L, and during the first COVID lockdowns it went down to $1.10/L or there about

Same got 98 for $1.8x/L last few weeks, but all that means is its going to randomly jump 50c/L sooner rather than later.

Somebody waiting 3 minutes for a sandwich is a crisis nowadays, or the internet going down for an hour.
The use of extreme language in the media has increased massively over the past 20 years. I would argue there never was a crisis.

A crisis would be the USA oil shortage of the late 70s/early 80s, when people had purchase limits coupled with high prices.

When was the last time that oil/petrol supply was under true threat here?

True!.... the amount of days of supply we hold seems to decline more & more though.

This is a bit concerning if to be believed https://www.drive.com.au/news/oil-in...ooming-crisis/

Oil demand will be around for a while and if we don't keep investing in new production supplies we could see a supply squeeze. Of course could be just the oil companies wanting some extra $$ thrown their way.

Absolute bargain, I'm paying $6.50 for a medium one at the moment, and its hit and miss.

If im paying those sort of prices and higher for a bought coffee, I will search for a proper coffee roaster. Not servo style coffee unless I am desperate.

Maccas hands down for the worst coffee available, but when it's 3AM and the only option you can't complain too much

Was a place in Gisborne charging $7 for a 'large' coffee in 2015, the owner of the cafe had the gall to complain about the local automotive businesses being rip offs, pot kettle.

Probably $35 for their 'large' coffee these days
