That implies a pair of shoes these days would last long enough to need replacement laces.

Someone would be surprised

(a.) That the partner they demeaned, insulted and generally treated like rubbish would one day up and leave, and
(b.) That I seemed to lack sympathy when they wanted to bleat about it?

Tool manufacturers are smarter than what you think.

Why can’t speed cameras send a signal to every nearby toll tag when they’re tripped? Even if it’s not you, it’s a much more timely reminder of the cameras than advertising blather.

Yeah, why over complicate things. Ratchets, breaker bars, impacts, typically they're ¼, ⅜, ½ inch drive. Who gives half a crap about the non metric about that. Its sockets where the imperial makes less sense.
Same with measuring stuff. On a tape measure a number like 1659mm is a lot easier to process then say 56 inches and 12 sixteenths.

I'll just get out my 105mm socket to remove the truck axle bearings.

If you were a university engineer you’d worry about cyclic fatigue from the 0,2mm slop.

Nothing a chisel and lump hammer wouldn't fix.
