My neighbour tinkers with a GTR Skyline, I always have a laugh when I see it on the back of a tow truck

Hope this gets shown at our local drive-ins, they're going to have to put a line down the middle of the carpark though.

2 hours of 12 year old kids arguing in a schoolyard of why their dad's Ford is better than any Holden ever made.
Then have some attractive (reasonably) mums do the school pickup and the traffic light dash to the supermarket carpark to win the much coveted "parking spot" outside the entrance to Safeway.

Fast forward to next weekend and Holden dad visiting the local dealer to get a supercharger fitted and then back to the schoolyard with the 12 year old kids...

Them's were the days, up to the Nissan Skyline and Ford searra undermined the real Race spirit of what was Aussie Spirit !

I was not a Holden man or Ford man, I was both !

And i liked to stir the possum ! it was great to get a response walking about the Track, The Devotion was like a Religious experience !

If only i had a video recording of some reactions of such peoples response to a passing comment.

Ford vs Holden: A doco that’s dropped too late?

"Cinema-bound documentary about Australia’s greatest automotive rivalry is oddly timed and will likely rake over well-turned coals."

https://www.whichcar.com.au/news/for...o7KnD0lmGXMD4s

While I'm keen to see the doco, I wouldn't expect the subject matter being of interest to anyone other than a Holden and Ford fan, of which I'd highly doubt there being anything we didn't already know.

Agreed, however we don't often got to see our cars on the big screen so will likely go have a look

In retrospect while the racetrack rivalry was going on and tribal, Toyota went and won the bush and then the country with the LandCruiser and it's reliability and build quality.

Now they can charge what they want for a Cruiser.

I'm keen to see this but in typical Canberra fashion they are only showing it in the city where the only people who interested in watching this are nowhere near the city. Fail

This is true but Ford has made big strides with Ranger and Everest, it’s main failing is that still
doesn’t provide vehicles above and below those two vehicles, conversation for another thread.
