Default Fat people - where do you buy your clothes??

hey,
well as you may guess im quite a big person (hence the name) and im in need of some decent clothes. but im having trouble finding any.
im currently at 3XL (working my way down) and have been only able to find a few decent brands (rip curl mainly) in that size, everything else is old mans stuff, that looks and feels terrible.
i live in wagga so the selection is quite limited, but i was wondering if anyone has found any good stores (possibly in sydney) or websites that stock larger style clothing, that isnt utter garbage or old mans hawaiin shirts.

any help would be great, as i need some new clothes!!!

Outdoor World or Tents'r'Us. There is not much out there.

Tar-jhey sometimes has good stuff in their Big Mens deparment but depends on the store. Specialist Big man stores are good but be prepared to be scared at the prices.

Yeah when my hubby was larger he used to shop mainly at Tar-jhey's Big Mens' section.

Also Lowes sometimes have some decent stuff.

But that's about it, if you want designer or popular clothes you have to be super slim (read anorexic).

Good luck!

pete it seems to be an issue for women and men mate, but all i can suggest are lowes who seem to have a good selection or try target. another suggestion would be the specialist mens stores but they are costly.

There's a place up here called Toucan which deals with big men's gear. Not bad quality too. Not saying that I've bought big stuff before... damn, I've been found out.

I'm working my way down too. Lost about 6kg in three weeks.

pete why not shop online in the US??? my friend does and he has no probs finding clothes that fit.

and sometimes if you look good enough they arent too expensive either, he shops at places like footlocker US etc etc cause the Aus market is pretty limited for us bigger folk :( and the places that do sell big blokkes clothing apart from target (ie tar-jhey:P) and maybe kmart, be prepared to spen a fair bit on clocthing there, i bout a white business shirt for like 70 bucks there and its just like a standard shirt you could get a harris scarf or whatnot for say 20 bucks lol

and dont get me started on my 500 dollar suit :( and thats a cheap one :(:(

umm not suire what kind of clothes yuour into , but if you go through yahoo.com (the US version) and click shopping clothes etc etc you should find some stuff

www.footlocker.com

this covers alot of american brands, if your looking for teh whole surfy look with ripcurl, rusty, bilabong and whatnot, i dont know how successful youll be as they usually make clothers for the smaller demographic.

but yeah hope ya find some cool stuff to buy bro :P
