Hi,I have been out of the small FORD scene for many years.Too many
A friend has a MK1 Cortina GT and having carby problems. Am I correct that these had a WEBER 28/36 std, if so, can they still be bought new. Any advice on a replacement that bolts straight onto the original manifold would be welcome. Cheers Steven |

28/36 is correct.
Mike at Yesterford in Bayswater sells carby kits. I don't know if you can still buy them new. |

Can't see any on the weber performance site. Avoid the non genuine repro ones like the plague. 32/36 may fit, got both in my shed so I'll find out for sure if you want, though 32/36 will need jetting to suit the 1500.

Just been out to the shed 'cause now I need to know
32/36 fits in the GT manifold, opens up the option of 38dgas aswell but it'd have to be a worked up engine to consider one of those
