What scan tools & software are you using on your Ford?
I have recently used an OBDLink MX WiFi unit & FORScan Lite on an android phone. The OBDLink MX WiFi is unreliable & continuously disconnects rendering it useless. What scan tool do you use that works consistently? |

I have and use 3 scan / logging devices for my car;
1. The torque Pro app with a Bluetooth ELM adaptor on the OBDII port. 2. A physical scanner with LCD screen that plugs in directly to the port. 3. An SCT X4 flasher which also plugs in directly. All have their advantages and disadvantages. Obviously the ones that don't use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and plug in directly to the port are quicker in operation and more reliable and have "instant on" when you turn the engine on. If I'm just scanning for fault codes, then the physical scanner gets the job done fastest. If I want to log functions then I prefer the SCT X4. |
