That is pretty impressive for the Falcons. The Territory wasnt much more than rrp though.
Great to see the choosen beneficiaries benefitting.
I suppose we will see justification from the dealers now for some of the ridiculous prices they have new ones advertised for. Sprints in particular.
Still i suppose something is only worth what people are willing to pay.

I reckon they're some pretty good auction results.

In a way I'm surprised that Ford Aust didn't hold back with the auction till the remaining stocks of Falcon/Territory were sold, but obviously they didn't need to.

Either way, this money is certainly going to good use on robotics education at Geelong and Broadmeadows schools. I hope it can lead to some new large scale manufacturing in Victoria.

I reckon the xr6 Sprint is a bit of a bargain for a collector.
Imagine in 20 - 30 years time saying you have the last and fastest Australian built Falcon that is arguably the best car they ever produced..... might even attract more hype than a xy gtho phase 3......

Unfortunate there wasn't a manual Sprint 8 in the mix. Would've been interesting to see its relative sale price.

A pair of blue-blooded Ford collectors have shelled out a combined $353,000 to own the final Australian-built Ford models that can be registered for road use.

Victorian Ford enthusiasts John Bradbury and Mark Jeffs snapped up the final Falcon, Falcon Ute, Territory and Falcon Sprint produced by Ford's Broadmeadows plant at an auction on Saturday.

The cars fetched roughly double their market value, with top billing going to the final Falcon XR6 Sprint, number 500 of 500, which fetched $122,000.

Proceeds from the auction will go toward community projects in Victoria.

Ford will divide the money between a "Give Where You Live" corporate support scheme in Geelong, as well as helping fund science projects in regional high schools.

The vehicles represent the second-to-last examples of their kind. Ford says the final Falcon, Ute and Territory will never be sold or registered, and will instead be displayed publicly to celebrate the brand's manufacturing heritage.
