Default Helicopter chases man driving at 182kmh

http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/quee...01-gojnka.html

Saw this in the news this morning. Given he drove home, I suspect he didn't think he was being followed.

Also interesting to see the quality of the thermal camera.

That camera is awesome. Did you see how it even picked up the exhaust gasses coming out behind the car when he was giving it some.

I normally check the mirrors before giving it some (not to that extent) might be worth starting to check the sky too

The cops will have a very hard time proving who was actually behind the wheel of the car if all they have is the chopper following the car to where it came to rest.

Amazing how hot his car was running compared to other road users.

Back in the 80's over in WA I used to twist my side mirrors up when driving through aerial patrol sections of the Highway in the country.

Wow, I noticed he passed a car that was actually driving in the left lane.
Don't know about other States, but Queensland is the land of centre-lane driving road-hog empty heads.

The costs to get a chopper in the air are astronomical . I am surprised they even bother . Does the urban myth of driving to the airport and taking the next flight to rid yourself of a pursuing chopper , work

Do you realise how little of the sky you could actually see in the mirrors, I doubt you'd ever see something in the sky.

Do you realise that you can see quite a lot especially as the planes came up from behind, so it was a defined area. So you can doubt all you like, but as you've probably never experienced it, you wouldn't know.

You'd never spot Biggles though - he'd position himself between you and the sun.
