Angry Parts Ripoff AMP

Anyone dealt with Mike Fielder @ Australian Muscle Parts. This low life owes me $1830 on some engine parts I ordered for my Mustang but nothing showed up. I received no invoice for the parts ordered. He gave me all the promises and excuses under the sun. The communication has now stopped - the parts were ordered going on 12 months ago.
Yellow bullet members in the states have also had bad dealings with this scum bag. My advice is to stay well clear of this business based in Drouin Vic.

Hate to seem harsh but you really should have at least demanded an invoice before paying.

If you don't have record of the transaction, I guess means you paid by cash and trusted a verbal contract. Part of the blame lies with you for not being smart about it.

Sorry but you can't go through life trusting everybody at their word. It's a lot of money to pay for a life lesson but at least learn from it. Good luck, I really mean that.

I’d never order parts or anything and pay up front without an invoice.

I have at times said don’t worry about an invoice but that’s because I’ve already got the parts in my hot little hands.

It doesn’t condone being ripped off but it is a buyer beware world and more so when engaging in this type of transaction.

You need to make some effort to try and protect yourself.

Still I'm sorry to hear you've been ripped off and it's a lesson we can all take on board.

Ive never used this business (or if I have I done remember doing so) so I cant validate or argue the OP's post.

I have to say I personally put very little credit in a 1st post bagging of a business

It's even more odd that they have been a member since Aug 14 but only decided to post now

Take it easy on him guy's. As far as I'm concerned he's doing us a favour by bringing it to our attention. At least now if you plan to do business with business X you will have been warned.

Bringing attention is one thing, out and out slander is another.

I think this has run its course unless the OP can provide evidence of shoddy dealings.

We really need to know more information before passing judgement.
is there more to this?

was it cash over the counter? it doesn't look like their website offers online purchases.

Paying upfront with Ebay or other you would be protected with Paypal.

if it was done by credit card over the phone, then they wont have a signed receipt - the bank can reverse this but im not sure after 12 months..

I'm thinking I'd like to hear a brief account of what exactly transpired with your transaction with this bloke, and also some sort of indication of his responses to your complaints. I'm very loathe to judge a business, or its owner, based solely on one single complaint.

I also disagree with publicly calling the bloke a "lowlife" and a "scumbag", again without any supporting evidence for that claim. One allegedly unsatisfactory customer complaint does not a bad business maketh.

Agreed. Closed until the OP can provide something to backup his claims.
