First thing I would do is source a US GT MY16 bonnet with the indicators in the bonnet, and get US spec sequential indicator tail lights hooked up. Why those 2 things were deleted is a joke. I can maybe understand if the taillights don't conform with ADR's or whatever, but the lack of bonnet vents is penny pinching of the highest order.

I didnt know Oz spec bonnets dont have vents??

Surely the cost for two red and one amber tail light senses wasnt that high. Agreed its not a deal breaking but the clears look cheap as hell. Im sure there will be some nice LED alternatives soon enough.

To go sequential you will probably needs some wiring differences which would be a PIA I would think.

Not Mustang related but my son put aftermarket sequential rear indicators on his Toyota 86, and look great, can't understand why the Mustang in Australia is not getting them as they really stand out when on.

Because the simpletons heads will implode. Also some BS about needing the amber light for some ADR, and ADR's keep some public servants employed.

The issue is I believe with maintaining a solid red brake light at all times.
With sequential indicators, the brake light flashes so technically its not ADR compliant. So until the rule changes, sequential tail lights are not legal here in AUS.

The stupid thing is that they are actually far more effective than most other cars on the road because they are sequential. They stand out a hell of a lot more.

Edit: Don't most cars have two brake lights + a high mount one ?

Mustangs have three each side + the high mount one, so even with an indicator operating they still have more brake lights operating than most cars

My 65 has a single bulb that services both the brake light and indicator. The brake light flashes when the indicator is turned on. Have not been rear ended/pulled over yet.

Aussie hoon laws are the factor of the burnout option not being available here.

We really are the joke of the world. Owners here will just have to improvise.
