Default Re: New Focus ST Info thread.

Took my ST to jarvis ford last night. This morning they rang me to say the exhaust smoke on start up is normal for the ST. They say it pumps a little extra fuel in on cold startup to help the cat converter warm up resulting in asmall amount of smoke before any steam is seen. They say its more prevelent in colder weather. They also said to do some harder driving trips and and longer drives than my short work drives to clean it out and get the cat converter hotter more often. Im glad that its not a concern and is a normal thing that is not a problem. Ford ran a software upgrade and said everything is A ok on the car at 31000km. Pick it up tonight, for a nice quick run home...
