I really don't care about the mustang.

I wanted the XR8 and last Falcon in Australia and i got it.

From where I'm sitting at the moment, we not even getting the good Mustangs. Base V8 GT only and the price leaves a bit to be desired.

Either way, who cares? Buy what you want and drive it like you stole it.

It's not a base V8 GT by any stretch of the imagination and the price in Aus is sensational.

You may not care for it but there's no need to post blatant lies about it

Sorry disagree. Compared to models in the US, I don't belive we are getting the best we could be.

Ditto for the price.

What models in the us? It's the premium Gt with performance pack it don't get better than that. If your happy with a falcon with a 2008 interior that's fine but no need to post rubbish.

Only mustang I'd consider is the gt350. That's a sweet bit of kit, so much more aggressive than the standard gt. Unfortunately ford have confirmed we will not be getting it in Australia.

I think some people are confused what the premium and performance pack actually means.

From what I'm reading we are NOT getting the full performance pack, we are only getting the wheels, tyres and brakes that's it and those saying dealers have confirmed this possibly also believe Santa is real too cause history shows dealers only know the half truth.

The Aussie spec is a combination of all options which equals Aussie spec not premium plus performance pack.

George

Ps I'm getting an XR8 and will be looking at a stang in the future. I want the XR8 for the Aussie heritage but tech wise the Stang has it all over the XR8. Both are great cars in their own right.

Agree with geobar.
I reckon the Australian variant is not getting the full PERFORMANCE PACK.

We are getting the following which is part of the PERFORMANCE PACK:

- Brembo™ 6-piston front calipers
- 19" x 9" Ebony Black-painted aluminum front wheels - 255/40R19 tires
- 19" x 9.5" Ebony Black-painted aluminum rear wheels - 275/40R19 tires

but not the rest of the performance pack listed below. BUMMER!!

- Unique front air splitter
- Strut-tower brace
- Larger radiator
- Upsized rear sway bar
- Heavy-duty front springs
- Unique chassis tuning
- Gauge Pack (oil pressure and vacuum);
- K-member brace
- Unique electric power-assisted steering
- ABS and electronic stability control tuning
- Engine Turn aluminum dash panel
- Spoiler delete
- 3.73:1 gear ratio with TORSEN® helical gear differential (manual only)''

See: http://www.ford.com/services/assets/...tang&year=2015 Page 21 (no page numbers, (I manually counted) roughly centre of page headed "GT performance package".

XR8 for me (july delivery), seats the three kids easily in the back, which keeps the wife happy. Also have an original big block 67 GT, so I have the best of both worlds.

Recaro's aren't standard in the US performance pack, they are an additional option.

You lose seat heating and electric adjustment with them and they are rather snug apparently, so that's why they are not standard.
