After the owner has been paid out by the insurance company, they probably couldn't care less where the car is (especially if the car is a piece of sh#t).

Great, so there are two black, riced-up, dumped 200sx looking things in the state. Except the one in baysie north actually IS a something-or-other-sx. I don't know, I don't care, it's rice, they all look the same to Woz.

An acquaintance of mine had a car dumped outside his place, nothing good left on it and with the rego removed.

He got no where with the council until someone tossed a fish carcass inside it. Then after a couple of days the council removed it as it had been deemed a health hazard.

Not suggesting you do this...

Not so good alright.

Going by the age of the original post I think it's a disgrace that the car was never forensically examined - it could have been dumped there by Ronald Biggs when he was on the run after the great train robbery.

Russ.

I had one out he front of my place, rang the council and they put a sticker on it, 48 hours later it was gone, that was all the notice they needed to give

There is one opposite my house on the other side of the road but one house along. Originally it was 2 houses up the street but it has moved a bit. It is a VR Commodore in typical s**thouse condition.

My neighbour and I believe it belongs to someone in the next street but it has broken down and they haven't got the means or the inclination to fix it. It has been reported to the council but it was moved just inside the 30 day period that they allow before they remove it.

So it has been reported again .. its three weeks now so we'll see what happens.

It's actually the car owners responsibility to remove and recover the car from the street. Police normally don't have the storage capacity to recover cars and most coppers wont drive other peoples' cars.

Blame the owner, instead of the Police.
