Default Formula Ford Ecoboost marketing?

Well after seeing they have bought the street registered Formula Ford to Sydney i'm wondering if FordOz will be smart enough to run it around Eastern Creek raceway for an open day so people can come and watch it do some seriously quick laps and have it on display in the pits.... Or will they just have it on display at this Go further show they have going on?

If Ford marketing were smart (I know, long shot) they'd do a commercial just like Holden has of setting a new lap record at the Nurburgring.

When this 1.0 EcoBoost powered racer was let loose on the famous Nürburgring circuit, it recorded a blistering lap-time of 7 minutes 22 seconds: the 11th-fastest time recorded there.

That's almost a full minute quicker than Holden's SS-V Redline ute with it's 6.2 litre engine that they a boasting about which went a still impressive 8:19:47.

Wouldn't it just. It's a little less powerful in road-going, but the video has more details. Cool turbo noises too.

Video of the very car at the show, but anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmZMwk14r4c
