Does anyone else here have the problem with the "chrome" around the windows getting a bit oxidised and looking a bit dull?
If so, what do you use to bring it all up shiny again? Any specific product or polish that does the trick? I'm a bit hesitant to hit it up with some of the more standard chrome/metal polish products as I think its more of a plastic trim and don't want to scratch it beyond any sort of repair. It looks alright from a distance but when you look at it close up, it really does show that there's blemishes and weirdness all over it. If others are doing the same you'll know what I mean, if not I'll try get a close up photo to show.

Funny you posted this today as I had planned to myself.
Anyway, I washed and waxed our Mondeo today and found that waxing and buffing the chrome with the car wax seemed to clean them up a bit. Would love to know if there is a product that restores to new though? |

Maybe some alcohol-type rub to get the blemishes off would do the trick?

While we are on the topic of window surrounds. How dose everyone get the gloss black pillars looking good. Mine are all spiderweb looking... (scratched)

Hi, as for the black pillars I used the poor boys professional polish on mine with an orbital and they came up brand new. Used to work on my FG falcon ute also. It's a really gentle polish and when the time come I might even try it on the chrome surrounds.

autosol should do the trick its for chrome ,s/s ,aluminium .Should be able to get it at any auto shop comes in a tube
