no early escort had low back seats and the whole seat lifted/tilted up aka 1970-1971.
this is two door fairlane ltd? landau? maybe capri? |

That chrome knob on the side is identical to my old Mustang seats back know so I suspect they are from a Ford, seat itself looks very XC Falcon to me, so could they be XC Falcon 500 coupe? I can't recall if they had the recline knob?

Could also be TD/E Cortina seats but it wouldn't explain the tilt mechanism as we didn't get the two door. Check out the seat pics on this link -

If thats a plastic cover on the pivot arm there may be a part number and manufacturers name on the inside.They are not like my coupe seats as they don't have a recline knob on them and the tilt handle is on the bottom.I have a couple of Mk2 2 door escorts and their seats aren't like these either.

They look to me like late model Escort PV seats,(76-80), right no of pleats, right colour, the backs fold forwards as Escort PV seats did, the stiching and the 2 zips on the back are in the right places, and the headrests look the part.
They are not early model seats, they were one piece, did not have headrests, and pivoted at the front. Compare the with the pictures in the AFF brochure photo galleries |

sorry sprint, no prize, they are advertised as xa seats but they are definately not xa xb xc. Trying to help the owner get an ID on them, they think they are ford seats, but could be anything that was available in aus at the time really. Thanks for the input all
