Well Mate,

I collect Biante and Classic Carlectables. They are good for Aussie cars (as you said) and V8 Supercars. I've heard of and brand called exoto but they are really expensive but the quality that they have is excellent.

I also heard that Dinkum have made 1:43's with opening doors.

Cheers. :eclipsee_

Nathan

I collect 1:43 scale only, mainly Euro and Jap luxury and sports cars. Minichamps, Autoart and Kyosho are my preferred brands. BBR and Looksmart are the ultimate rip off (~$300 a pop) but some Ferraris are only made by these brands. Avoid Hot Wheels and Maisto at all costs, the quality is just crap.

I used to collect the models draped over the cars at the motor shows, but since I got married i cant afford them anymore.

I thought the were geting expensive anyway, turns out marriage costs heaps more!!

I had some of the 1:18 71 Phase 3 Bathurst, Tru Blu XD, TracK Red XY and had to sell them after the kids came along and thought they were (very expensive) toys. Now I collect 1:43 ATCC and Bathurst winners because they are smaller and easier to manage. Looking forward to someone releasing the 1,2,3 winners from this year.
