Well done Stampy. I think your ST170 result will give you "National Champion" in Class 1.... but I was closer than I thought I'd be! (75.3 fwkw in the Zetec)

(Approx 89 Front wheel KW for my ST170) i was a bit disapointed at first but it was very hot in the shed ,but i guess we all had the same problems , I would love to see 100 KW but i guess that will cost a fair bit.

I thought the Dyno Dynamics dynos were supposed to automatically adjust for variations in temperature when in Shoot Out mode.

That's why they claim you can compare a Dyno Dynamic Shootout from one operator, or on different days, to the next.

Mind you, mine pulled 75.3 today, and 77.7 on another Dyno Dynamic dyno in Collingwood last week

I don't think so. As Steve at RDP explained to me today the inlet temp (IT) and the ambient temp (AT) effect HP on different days. My last run at RDP was 315HP at 20 AT 18 IT and today 309HP at 26 AT and 34 IT. As the inlet temp was hotter, the HP was lower.

When I did my 410hp run the inlet was 67 degrees and the room was 31.... last dyno day when I turned 325 it was 53IT and 23RT. The XY really suffers on intake temps on a dyno because the bonnet goes up and suddenly the shaker is being fed hot air off the radiator...

I'll try to post my sheet tomorrow or monday

"Atmospheric conditions have an enormous effect on engine power. An engine will invariably make more power on a cold day than a hot day. In order to standardise power measurement, you need to correct for atmospheric conditions. ShootOut mode locks parameters within Dyno Dynamics Atmospheric2 (ATMC2) so that the operator cannot disable or change them. The instrumentation system adjusts (corrects) power measurements for a benchmark ‘standard’ day. ATMC2 ensures that the results are statistically adjusted for cold or hot day tests The test conditions are printed out on the graph for added validation
when comparing two power graphs. "

From http://www.dyno.com.au/shootout.htm

In Melbourne, I don't think they were measuring intake temp, just ambient temp, as there were no sensors being put into the air intakes (I have had a couple of dynos done previously on a Dyno Dynamics dyno in shootout mode and a sensor is placed in the intake)

The whole idea of Shootout mode is that any two graphs from different operators can be compared. That's why I don't understand why the suggestion that the different conditions were effecting the results. Dyno Dynamics shootout is supposed to statistically adjust the results.

No issues or complaints though. A terrific day, well organised

Well it seems all charts show shoot out mode but in QLD we most definitely used intake and air temp.
All together a great day no complaints. Just enhancements to come.

Unfortunately you can't believe what manufactures write about the product 100%.

The temp does make a difference. And I don't see the compensaton working.

Today in NSW I ran a 139rwkw vs 144rwkw on the same dyno same mods different fuel only.

The 144rwkw run was at Pressure 101 Humidity 41% Temp 19 degress.

Today The 139rwkw run was at Pressure 100 Humidity 49% Temp 29 degress.

Am I surprised no!

Kinda poor for a forced induction V8, but suprisingly this is about right. Stock motor (including standard EF V8 exhaust manifold), powerdyne blower - appears to be running at about 7psi.
