Default ST 170 Clutch Replacement

I need to replace my clutch on my focus, Ford wants $2,000 for it!
I was wondering if you guys can suggest a better and cheaper place where I can get this done in Melbourne.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Try Central Florida Motorsports in the US
http://focus.c-f-m.com/clutchkitsflywheels_1.aspxand

And look for the SVT clutch. The Focus SVT was the same as the ST170.

Looks like starting price is about US $500 plus freight. Better than $2000

Just check it is the right clutch.

I queried Extreme here in Adelaide mid 2009, and they did not supply one. Ford only part, as there were not many sold here.

Could pay to get onto the UK Focus sites and see what part numbers etc they recommend. More than a few clutch posts on those sites.

Yep, they've got them coming but can't give an ETA. Looks like about $1000 for the kit.

Guys thanks for all your suggestions. I took it to Noble Park Brake and Clutch in Dandenong. They quoted $1200. I just got a call from them and told me that the flywheel is fried and said $4100 with flywheel. I said that's a lot of money

So I've checked out Central Florida Motorsports (thanks melbzetec), since I need a flywheel aswell. I was just wondering if they would fit my ST170. Mine was built in 03/03, I understand they changed something mid 2003.

Also do you think its worth upgrading 2 a stage I clutch or just get a straight replacement?

Once again thank you for your suggestions.
