Default Horrible Car Fire On M4 Motorway !!!

AT around 12.30 lunch time i was travelling on m4 between mulgoa raod and northern road( western sydney ) east bound when i seen a plume of black smoke appear about 1km up the road on the westbound side .
my 1st thoughts were . thats a petrol fire . i was ready to pull over as i was only 1 minute or less away as i approached the smoke intantly became a plume cloud all over the place , people had already stopped on the other side of the road and a vehicle was exploding engulphed in flames . people were standing around . i kept driving as there was nothing anyone could do and my children were in my car now and many were already on scene .

i only hope that whoever was in the vehicle got out before the fire .
does anyone know WHAT HAPPENED OR HOW THIS HAPPENED . ????

I heard on the radio yesterday, it was a 4WD that caught fire from the engine bay and engulfed the whole car. The caller had been past it when it started, went to Penrith and then went back on the M4 20 minutes later and the fire brigade still wasn't there. Apparently it then started burning grass on the median or shoulder.

I'll bet a lobster that it was a late model Jeep of sorts.
They were supplied with a packet of marshmallows the late 90's models because they had a likelihood of turning into a bbq.
