Random, mindless acts like this are the exact reason i have a daily and wont ever leave the XR8 over night anywhere apart from home in the garage!, sorry about the car mate, looks like one good little mini!

$1000 excess? perhaps you are better doing the work yourself/paying to get it done at least then it won't bump your insurance up even higher

Owch... Was that quoted by someone assuming it would be an insurance job? I had a hit and run that was worse (got me in the same spot, just smack bang on the join between the door and the front gaurd) So bad that I needed a crow bar to open my door. I got it done private for $500. While it wasn't a 100% top notch job, it was 95%, which was good enough for me seeing as I saved my NCB as well as my excess.

Keep your grand and get it done private.

mntxr...sorry to see the damage. it was a cracking looking Mini. Hopefully the damage can be repaired for you. With any luck, the clowns who did this to the car will take a on a power line.

low mate very low i feel your pain as i had a guy do it to me and after my car was repaired some guy reversed into me and gave me false details and i had to foot the bill again

ouch... that was a nice looking mini. good to see the ad on the side for my old favourite forum (ausmini.com). haven't been on there in ages. will have to buy myself another mini some time and get back on ausmini. I really miss the Cooper.
